      @@itsroads206 In the EU we have restrictions on speed for 50CC bikes We cant go faster than 45 to 55kmh (depending on the country) and that means that scooters are restricted with a combination of or a ring in the variator gearbox (CVT), a metal stud like this in the exhaust muffler and beginning and a restricted air intake.
      So if an exhaust is sold for 50cc bikes it needs to be restricted. Hope that helps!

    • @kommandant.357

      Also means that the ring only blocks speed and not acceleration, stuff like restricting airflow through exhausts and air intakes will also ruin acceleration and such

    Hi there. I have a question about an exhaust, of which I cannot find anything on the web relating to my desired answer. I have a Minarelli Horziontal (YQ50 block) with a Yasuni City 16 (bought second hand), have been running it for years. And no, not with stock engine :). It seems there is a sealing ring in the pipe itself (engine side, pre-expansion), sealing or clamping the exhaust port flange. I cannot find any good references for that part online. Do you have an idea about this part? Is it a regular silicone o-ring? Or a deformable metal seal ring? As it feels like a soft metal, but perhaps because it was a silicone o-ring that has carbonised by now. Asking because I think its leaking there, exhaust seems louder and I've excluded all other options. It's not the silencer. Thanks in advance!

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jbsvault I checked the parts diagram and there is a O-ring Ø28 x 2.5mm.

    • @jbsvault
      @jbsvault ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scooterstreetau ...Did you remove my reply with the 28 x 2.5mm information?
      Anyway, PSA: if someone needs to replace this O-ring or any other, like in the silencer for example, be aware to pick a material that is suited for the operational conditions. NBR, silicone or EPDM will likely not work (for long) due to their chemical or thermal incompatibilities. After some searching on operational conditions and characteristics (hardness, high thermals, exhaust fumes, petrochemicals such as oils and petrol, etc.) and general availability, I ended up with an FKM O-ring. Found an 80 shore A 28x2,5mm one from Viton for about 4 EUR, but there are probably other manufacturers as well.
      The flange fits snugly now and there appears to be no leakage.
      Haven't received any reply from Yasuni yet... But that doesn't matter anymore now.

    Quick question, mate. Gilera Runner 50, old shape, with Malossi Sport 70cc, will get 19mm or 21mm dellorto carb. Which exhaust would you put on it? Yasuni Z/R? Currently on Leovince ZX, but it's dirty as hell and I have no way to clean it, could use something better. Crank, transmission etc are changed to at least street level.

    • @scooterstreetau

      The "R". In the meantime, remove the ZX and using sanding block/paper rub it back and clean it up, repack the silencer and replace the nuts. The final step is using Heat Proof Paint (can spray) give it a couple of light coats. While the pipe is drying wash and degrease the silencer and the end pipe. Will look new again. Careful to fit it on to the engine and when the exhaust gets hot the paint will set. Will look great👍🎅

    I have a 2020 Aprilia Sr 50 and i run a Leovince tt on it with stock springs and contra spring. Should i go for a malossi fly clutch with white springs or yellow springs and a purple contra spring? or is the purple spring to stiff for a 50cc?

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would go for an adjustable Polini G3 clutch shoe. The Contra spring will depend on the roller weights and the ability the engine has to build rpm. The spring is needed to assist lowering of the gear when off the throttle.
