Hey, great to see that you liked it! It was a song from her maybe 3 years ago that lit my passion for latin music. That expressionism in many of her songs is stunning, the emotions are so present when she sings, it's mesmerizing. She is literally able to change my mood instantly... so talented, and she has the balls to do things differently. She studied music with focus on classical flamenco, you can hear arabic and french influences and sometimes even catalan (one of spain's dialects, which is the reason that spanish natives sometimes have no clue what she is singing, too - but hey, subtitles are for everyone...). Indeed, i like informed reaction's like this, having subtitles or - if not avail - looking the text up beforehand. Just enough that you have a little idea what's going on. Then you are able to compare your expectations from the lyrics to the actual video, just as you did here. Who need's 100 adjectives? I am here for your (unfiltered) expressions/emotions and your interpretation... thx 💙
Thanks for the recommendation and your comment! I really appreciate it and it's awesome to get a breakdown like this to help me get to know her better.
This song doesn’t show her real voice and the power she holds! Her main music genre is flamenco mixed with urban etc so I recommend u “de plata” “me quedo contigo” “malamente” that’s the real Rosalia but I’m happy she’s an extremely versatile artist and can do it all! 😍
@@hotmessreacts4972 Please, if you react to De Plata please do the live version from Seville rather than the video. Trust me you will not regret it! Here's the link to help you find the right one th-cam.com/video/wfuPWAKGjBE/w-d-xo.html As you go through Rosalía's work you'll notice she incorporates a lot of Spanish art into her videos for example in Di Mi Nombre (she is dressed like the painting of La Maja) and in De Aqui No Sales there is a nod to Don Quixote de La Mancha (one of the most well known books in Spanish literature). But in general Rosalía uses her videos as a tool to expand what she is trying to get across in her songs in a stunning manner.
I dont usually listen to latin songs just when i party i guess (or my coleague, assistant plays the song lol) this song was kinda big here in Latin America, I think.
Thank you. May I suggest you to watch videos from El Mal Querer? There you will find Rosalia's essence: "Bagdad", "Malamente", "Di Mi Nombre", "Pienso en tu mirá", "De aquí no sales"... I promise you will love them. Peace.
Your Spanish is not trash 😂😂. You said that perfectly 👌. Hello from Madrid 🤗🇪🇦🇪🇦..Don't miss Rosalía, she is unique: "Malamente" "Me quedo contigo" "Pienso en tu mirá" Etc..
Great reaction and interpretation (and way to go catching Dali)! Hopefully we get to see you discovering of her work. Rosalia is something else.
I plan on doing more of her work for sure! I'm glad I was right with Dali, I couldn't be sure.

Thank you! Malamente is getting a lot of recommendation, so I will definitely be reacting to it. And I'll probably get to the others eventually.
