Everyone was calling me after I took the test to congratulate me- never before in the history of the test had anyone gotten both the month and the year correct. They also said I might have discovered at least one new animal species.
You looked up the test too huh? I did too and I realized that I've had to take parts of it with my last two insurance provided annual physicals at home. (Aetna does this thing. I humor them. They already know I am in poor physical health.)

@Wiliam Forsythe oh, bs. The man is doing the sensible thing and social distancing. Far more than 98% of people pass that type of test and are confirmed to not have dementia annually. It's given every year to thousands of seniors to check for dementia. My bosses mother takes it annually, because of the history of her family. Talk to your doctor about memory problems and they'll probably send you for it. Absolutely no where has any reputable source said biden has advanced dementia. I know people with advanced dementia, they don't remember me and think the dog living in their house is my dog. They don't remember their kids or where they are. Biden doesn't have advanced dementia, research the disease before making false claims.

The most ludicrous thing with what he's saying about "the last questions are very hard" is that those include literally asking if you know what time/day/year it is and if you know where the fuck you are right at that moment.
The ultra rich have no sense of time or day of the week. How does it matter? They make their own schedules, go where they want, when they want. They set appointments when they want. Eat or sleep or whatever whenever they want. I worked in the Silicon Valley amongst the uber rich and they come and go as they please without a care in the world. A full work day consists of a few calls at 9:00 to overseas contacts. Roll into the office at 10:00. A couple meetings with their feet up or nodding off. Then break at Noon for a two hour lunch. A few more calls and meetings, followed by a nap. Then at 2:30 they call it a day and are off to pick their kids up from school. I worked with these assholes and saw this every day. Tough life. Imagine being a president used to living this way? No wonder he spends half his time tweeting instead of leading. Leadership is WORK!
I looked this test up online. There are 3-4 versions of it. On the one I took the last question was naming all the numbers that were enclosed in a circle, then added the "hard" part of naming all the numbers enclosed in a circle OR a square. Seriously a 5 year old could pass this test.
Or one version has you demonstrating that you know what 100 - 7 is. But it's not surprising he found that hard, given that he demonstrated that he can't do basic math on the Howard Stern show a long time ago: th-cam.com/video/DHFB40WOMOo/w-d-xo.html
As sad as this is I think there's a good chance he didn't even take the test and just tries to impress people as is his "cheerleader mentality". But even then the way he underestimates people's knowledge and ability to learn of the tests is still scary. At his age I'd believe he doesn't know what internet is capable of, but knowing his tweets and stuff he absolutely must know. All this is a great mystery. @@Stratelier It depends on how well you scored on the test, and the difficulties of the questions. IQ tests do have questions that someone with an IQ of 80 points can pass, but it's not fair to judge the test by those questions. There are also questions made for people with a 140+ IQ.

@Richard Jones There isn't much of a dividing line between physics and chemistry at that level. Suffice to say it's an extremely impressive qualification, the grasp of math alone to gain a PhD in that field is staggering. Just going by memory here but I believe Margaret Thatcher was very similiarly qualified in chemistry. Rare to get a scientist in public office though, they tend to be lawyers or businessmen.

So even if he got all 30 questions correct, it would be EXPECTED. Obviously, he didn't do well....which is why they were "surprised." And also obvious is that they didn't know what to tell him, because he would have been very disappointed. The safest thing they would say was "surprised."

He looked it over for a few minutes, then sighed a small sigh of relief when deducing that it wouldn't be too tremendously complicated, then he spent another couple of minutes reveling in the thought that he might, incredibly and amazingly, be able to answer most of the questions correctly, and next he spent another three minutes imagining the awe this would inspire in the people of the world.

Like others who've lost a parent to Alzheimer's, I sat in during 3 appts when my mother was administered this test. Despite having lost her ability to problem-solve and understand the consequences of her actions, she scored 29/30 for more than a year (she cdn't draw the 3D cube) -- in other words, she almost-aced it despite being unable to live on her own and tend to some of her needs. It's a meaningless test for anyone with mild to moderate dementia.

The fact that his doctors even ordered the cognitive test is frightening. They use that test to determine whether or not a person has dementia.
It only detects significant impairment. My mother took it several times after her diagnosis (drs. administer it every few months to gauge deterioration), and despite having lost her ability to problem-solve and to see/understand the consequences of her actions, she almost-aced it every time (29/30 -- cdn't draw the 3D cube). It's a useless test for anyone who has mild to moderate impairment bc it's so limited -- it can't assess most aspects of reasoning and cognition.

If you have cognitive impairment then it can become very confusing.
