Wow..I’m just amazed on how detailed ur prep to spray paintwas…I was “wow’ed” by how u taped the sink trap then cut around n removed the tape away..that was a great rip..learn something new ..thank u. U did an amazing, great job n made it look so easy🥰
Thank you so much!! The prep is 95% of the work! The spray painting is the fun part! Thanks for watching!!
Hi which spray paint was it
Tina girl, I promise you made my day, thanks for this tutorial.
It was just what I was looking for ❤️
Glad i was some sort of help!
Very good and informative video. Thank you. Love the finished result.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic!! I was going to spend too much $$$ on replacing all the faucets in my home for matte black ones and decided to do a search for "painting faucets" to see if that was something that could be done or if I could possibly do myself instead, and your channel popped up right away. I am so impressed with this tutorial!
Thankyou so much! I also paused on spending the money and decided to paint the current ones first. Its been almost 2 years and the paint has held up better than expected. I plan to do a followup video to show how it held up over time. I still plan to actually purchase the black faucets but this shall do for now!
Great idea! Thanks for making the vid
Glad you liked it!
Hello DIY Queen… Black fixtures looking cute. 🌸🌸🌸♥️♥️♥️
🥰🥰🥰
Looks elegant son! 🤟 I'm going to try this
Let me know how it goes!!
I absolutely love it , great job and thanks for sharing 😍
Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you for sharing this video. Really helpful as I am doing the same as you are. Looks amazing!!!
Thanks so much !
Great job… thanks for sharing!! It’s looks beautiful 🤩
Thanks so much!!!
Looks good! What spray paint did you use? And after two years now how is it holding up? Any scratches or signs of wear? Thanks
I am actually uploading a followup video this weekend! Stay tuned!
Nice! I’m curious to find out how it has held up
I will be making a followup video in a few weeks to show how everything held up
I spray painted a light fixture over my bathroom sink recently. I put up newspaper about 2 feet wide all around the light fixture to catch the paint spray. After I finished, I noticed that the black spray paint had got on everything in my bathroom. The paint was on my toilet, the floor, the bathtub, etc. I used solvent to wipe up the spray. I will NEVER EVER spray paint anything indoors ever again. Anything I want spray painted, I will take it outdoors and spray it there.
I totally get that…i also had to deal with a little overspray but it was not as bad as what you seem to have gotten! I hope you were able to clean all that out
Is that bath n body works chilling to the right of the sink 🧐 … btw black faucets came out nice 👍🏿
Lol…close..its VS!!thaannkks!!
Nicely done…
Thanks sis!!!!
Update on how it's holding up?
I have an update video up from a few months ago! Check it out
Might just add in; your voice will do well for an information guide on planes don’t t you think…?! 😅😁
Lool!! Vereee random!
Hi, faucet looks nice great job ! Does the black paint still stays even when using the hot water ? Thanks
Thankyou! Its been over a year since i did this makeover! One of the faucets need a little touch up! I do plan on making a follow up video soon to show how everything held up!but honestly for the most part held up pretty good! One thing i would do differently is i would use some primer after sanding down the faucets just for the black paint to adhere to the faucet better so that i don’t have to deal with the touchup!
@@twinaway Ahh ok great idea for the primer. Some suggest using clear seal protect after the paint but I think that's not a must if yours have held till now...
Very nice! Planning on doing the same thing. Which spray paint did you use?
I think it was rustoleum matte black!
You need to sand, prime paint and clear coat. This won't last. You're adhering to a glossy surface with no protection
Update on how this lasted ?
But I have a question, can I use this spray paint on Ceramic Toilet seat?
You think it'll stay and not fade out?
I'll be glad at your response 🙏
Hmmm…i am not quite sure. But my guess is it will probably wear off on places that have body contact the most.
🤩🤩🤩🤩
Heya, how long did this last for? Have you noticed any chipping of the spray paint
Hey Zarina! This has held up pretty nicely. There are some minor chips on one of the faucets that I use the most but its barely noticeable…i do plan on respraying the one faucet one time again. Someone told me it probably would have held up way better if i used a spray primer before the black spray and i thought that was genius..but honestly it has help up pretty good! Id give it 95% mark!
@Twinaway what product did you use??? Great job by the way!!!❤❤❤❤
How is your paint job doing 2 years on if I may ask ? :) I want to clean up a second hand faucet and was wondering if it will hold.
I have a follow up video from a few weeks ago! It held up about 90% which was expected as this is supposed to be a temporary aesthetic fix
@@twinaway OW thanks for the follow up video, perfect ! :) Just checked it, I hope my kitchen faucet will hold up like your shower.
@@jorsm.3893 let me know how that goes! If you could do primer before maybe that would help it better! I didnt do primer on mine
10:22 many of these vids and one thing I would recommend is using a primer first. It will fill in all the etching from sandpaper. Then use small coats at a time to prevent runs, especially if time is not of the essence. Lastly, use a top coat and it will last much longer because you are strengthening the paint itself.
Wish i knew what paint you used
Think it was retsolium brand
What kind of spray paint was used?
Rustoleum ultra matte if i recall properly.
@@twinaway Thank you for the info.
basin tap അഴിച്ചു വച്ചിട്ടു paint അടിച്ചാല് പോരെ . എന്തിനാ വെറുതെ കുറെ tap ഒട്ടിച്ചു സമയം കളയുന്നത് 😆
