@hussami khaldoun Sadly with that philosophy, the cycle of hatred and future conflict continues. Cause I have plenty of Muslim friends who are completely accepting of Jewish people and even mention that friendship going back long ago in the Qu'ran. Also "those that worship more gods" 1400 or some years ago doesn't exactly mean western Christians..most likely it meant Pagans. Personally I admire Syria and similar areas who have both Muslim and old world Christians living side by side in large numbers with no problems. Hard to do in the west and here in America, due to New world Christians not wanting to be more accepting.

What works for us doesn't always work elsewhere I agree.. but I can firmly say this: other than what happened with our Native American population in the 1870's, ethnic cleansing of religious minorities seems to not happen in my country. And when I see that kinda thing happen else where in the world.. I'm kinda happy I live where I live in the democracy we have.

FINALLY, a proper vlog on the coastal region. I knew Syria had a diverse geography, but I never knew the coast was THIS breathtaking! I'm pleased to hear the region has been mostly spared from the fighting. It looks like two completely different countries. The girls. The parties. The openmindedness and hospitality of the people. This is what the country was like before all hell broke lose! But yeah, it is a bit awkward to see, when there are people dieing in the rest of the country.
I really like your format. Your videos have a very authentic feel, which is something that's really lacking on TH-cam.
I haven't seen the rest of your vlogs, but I'm guessing your girlfriend is Syrian.

Some might say you haven't visited the war areas but no one really knows how affected everyone is was under the war ... Only if people had known what Syria was like that we had no differences in religion or type we treated everyone as one human race they are giving generous their educated. @@bushrabardo6449 Thank you so much for your response. i love Syria iv been there many times, but my Arabic is still pretty bad. i can understand what is being said but stay stuff back is still hard for me. If i cant fly i might go to Turkey and ride over. Its still easy to get to Turkey for an American.
@@sodalines Arabic is a little bit hard to learn because we have many different "slangs" I guess like umm native languages spoken only in some areas " I don't know if slang is the correct word "
But I think maybe as a tourist you may ask if you can fly over
Not many people speak good English especially old and none educated people.. however if you needed to ask in English you can speak to young people or teenagers they might help better
As well as Turkey "90% of Turkish people don't speak English "

It hurts so much to see the historical places and fortress being destroyed 😭. Even though I'm not Syrian it really breaks my heart to see hundreds and thousands of year old year buildings and cultural places getting torn. 😓 I hope rebuilding of Syria takes place soon. I would love to see it as it was in the 80s and visit one day.

I would love to visit Damascus and also Tartous. The Syrian people are so warm and friendly and they deserve peace, rest and security. Damascus is an ancient, beautiful city. The past nine years have seen such pain and suffering for the good people of Syria. If Russia had not come to the aid of Syria the country would have been overrun by sadistic terrorists. The West certainly has not done anything to help Syria. In fact, Donald Trump is now imposing terrible sanctions on the country and causing even more suffering to the poor people. Have the Syrian people not suffered enough without the US inflicting even more pain on them?
The film shows how truly beautiful and friendly the country is. The young man who made the film clearly loves Syria and its people and he wants us to see just what a delightful place it is. Let's hope and pray that a lasting peace will come to the country and we can visit it and experience for ourselves just how wonderful it is. Long live Syria and its people. The world should help Syria, not make life even more difficult for it.

عندما ذهبت إلى "سوريا" احتضنتني كلمة "معوضين" بشدة .. وخففت من الإحساس بالفقدان الذي لا بد أن يكون كل العراقيين - ا لذين غادروا وطنهم وبيوتهم ووظائفهم وكل ما كانوا قد بنوه في حياتهم السابقة - قد شعروا به...
"معوضين" يقولها لك سائق سيارة الأجرة الذي قد لا تراه بعدها أبدا بينما أنت تنقده أجرته الضئيلة .. يقولها لك بائع الخبز والحليب .. سائق السرفيس .."معوضين" في كل مكان ..
وفي كل مرة تمد بها يدك إلى جيبك مهما كانت الليرات الخارجة ضئيلة ..
كنت أحيانا أقول في نفسي : هل هناك حقا ما يعوضنا عن وطننا ؟ عن بغداد والموصل ؟ عن "أشياء تركناها" وكنا لا نتخيل مجرد إمكانية الحياة من دونها ...
هل هناك حقا ما يعوض أن يكبر ابنك في وطنه..؟!
رغم ذلك .. كانت "معوضين" مثل دعاء يومي بأن يعوضنا الله .. وكان ذلك لوحده نوعا من التعويض .. أن تشعر أن هناك من يدعو لك بالعوض ..
اليوم .. أقف لأهمس في أذن "سوريا" كلها .."معوضين".. معوضين يا غالية يا وفية يا أصيلة .."معوضين" يا من وقفت وحدك ،بعد الله ، معنا ..وتقفين اليوم وحدك إلا منه عز وجل ..
معوضين ، وأنت تفقدين اليوم خير أبنائك وصباياك .."معوضين" امام قوافل الشهداء .. وقوافل المهجرين .. وقوافل المعذبين .. واليتامى .. والأرامل ..
"معوضين" يقولها لك العراقي العابر ، وهو يعرف أن العوض قادم لا محالة ..
"معوضين" يا غالية .. معوضين بغد أفضل و بسوريا أفضل و بمستقبل يستحق كل تلك التضحيات ..
أعرف فداحة الخسارة التي تصغر أمامها الكلمات ..
لذا لا يملك الانسان العابر ، أمام وجعك النبيل ، وشموخك الحزين ..
