Thank you Kurt and Katey for taking the time to jump into the SOA subreddit. My 22 year old daughter is now watching and is addicted to the show. She tells me oh now I see why you loved this show mom. I just warned her it gets extra dark right around season 5 onward. I personally find it tough to watch the later seasons.
Ally Walker (Stahl) was in season 1. She was the one stirring up stuff and the reason for Donna’s death. Great podcast. Looking forward to more episodes.
The acting on SOA looked so real, it was unlike anything else. All the actors and actresses were just so incredible and believeable. One of the best shows ever. Katey was so incredible her acting is on another level! ❤
I love that the both of you sitting in your home and doing this podcast. I also watch Theoband Kim's podcast Reaper Reviews, so down to earth and hilarious.
I have recommended SOA (over the years )to so many people. Katy Sagal is a phenomenal actress. Kurt is brilliant, allowing us into a world. I knew nothing about.
I absolutely enjoy seeing Katey aftwr so many years mia . She was always a talented actress and was praying she didn't get stereotyped from Married with children. She definitely rose up to the challenge of SOA . Fit her perfectly 👍
I heard a rumor that Kurts new series, The Abandons, is actually an SOA origin story. Ryan Hurst (SOA) is in it and so is Clayton Cardenas (Mayans MC).
On the subject of writing strong women characters: From what I saw, from all the interviews and commentary tracks, it seemed like several of the characters developed beyond what Kurt had in mind. The actor/actress was so much more, it changed the character arc. Nero was an example Kurt gave here, another one from the commentary track was Ryan Hursts portrayal of Opie. Opie was originally written to be killed off in season 1, but was so beloved by the fans that it changed his trajectory on the show. I know those aren’t female characters but there were so many incredible performances from such prolific actors… I don’t know if it’s just their inane talent or if the writing drew that out, but the acting changed the characters and made them so much more than was written.
id like to hear more about Kurts life an that, very interesting man . only knew him from SOA but listening Kim Coates an Dax Sheperd podcast very interesting
Stahl was in season 1! And hooking up with hale! (Why do I remember more than the writers and actors 🤣) when Jax and Unser took cherry out of lock up, hale was “face down in that shit” (stahl) 💀💀💀
I think the best acting on the show was done by Katey. And I say that because Gemma is an absolute villain on the series. So much death was caused by her, either directly or indirectly. I grew to hate her, and rarely have I hated a character so much, whether on a TV show or in a film. And even though I hated her, I still felt bad for her at times.
I've always wondered how Abel would have ended up, having already experienced the life at such a young age, and seen such horrible things. I can't help but feel like he would have found his way into the patch.
Supposedly Forever Sam Crow would have us see Abel put on the patch some years into the future, but knowing the state of Disney, I am pessimistic. It will require a change of management to bring this to fruition.
Thomas ends up a doctor like his Mom and Able ends up in Samcro....brothers who love each other but end up completely different but their worlds intertwine....😔I want it.
Kurt, sir... get back into therapy and stick to it. I'll put it this way and speak for myself. I'm not stupid, but I'm a fuckin' idiot by definition if that makes any sense. You know what you need to do. Plug back into it and stick to it. Better help is amazing. I'm restarting/reigniting the process. I know it's hard as fuckin' hell but we gotta do it. Keep that chin up and that head high.
I really like Greensleeves . Poor Bobby 😢 My favorite season was 3 when they were having That charming life th-cam.com/video/I56TvukT-88/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VwDhWKAO7jBveyRY Everything gets crazy after this.

Yes. There wasn’t as much pitch black humor in 5-7. Kurt is phenomenal at gallows humor.

I'm actually watching the show now ❤❤❤❤
Alley Walker was in season 1. That's when Otto bashed her head into the table.
Anyone else yelling through the phone when they were saying David hale died in season 2 and Agent Stahl didn’t show up till season 2!!
I was! Lol
I was “Inside of you”, now I’m eating PIE.🥧 not Crow.🐦⬛ Love your Podcast!🤠
id like to hear more about Kurts life an that, very interesting man . only knew him from SOA but listening Kim Coates an Dax Sheperd podcast very interesting
“Steakpipe?” That’s not going away anytime soon.
Stahl was in season 1! And hooking up with hale! (Why do I remember more than the writers and actors 🤣) when Jax and Unser took cherry out of lock up, hale was “face down in that shit” (stahl) 💀💀💀
I named my Toyota 4Runner after Gemma! 😂 because she is a classy bad a** 😉
I am THRILLED FOR THIS! SOA is the greatest show every written and performed. Could talk and listen about it forever!
Hey Kurt ever think about trying to get Netflix to buy the rights for SOA from Disney so you can make more Sons?
How on earth did Disney get so much fucking control of SOA and Kurts writing?
I think the best acting on the show was done by Katey. And I say that because Gemma is an absolute villain on the series. So much death was caused by her, either directly or indirectly. With all the kids from the show....opies kids, the Nazi guy kids, Abel etc....omg that would be awesome to have a continued story lol 😬😀
@@nikkiv1118 it could make for a great revisit. And who knows, maybe abel hates his father so much he goes FBI, hard to say
Thomas ends up a doctor like his Mom and Able ends up in Samcro....brothers who love each other but end up completely different but their worlds intertwine....😔I want it.
We all sacrifice for our children
JACK HUSTON WAS ALMOST ON SONS?????!!!!!!!
Looking at Kurt, I realize who God gave the rest of my hair to:))
Hale was going down on Ole girl...

No disrespect but why do u look so feminine Kurt
