thank you for this great video. I have a question - what is CPRESS measuring? I know it is a contact pressure but is it measuring at the intergration points or nodes or is it an average over the entire element? i am just not sure where exactly is CPRESS measured within an element?
Thanks for kind comment. As per ABAQUS Documentation below classes.engineering.wustl.edu/2009/spring/mase5513/abaqus/docs/v6.6/books/usb/default.htm?startat=pt09ch29s03aus126.html “For general contact CPRESS is calculated as the magnitude of the net contact normal force (the CNORMF vector) per unit area (it is an unsigned value).”
Both software are general purpose finite element software for engineering applications. I found ABAQUS better than ANSYS for Civil Engineering research and practical applications. For mechanical engineering I believe both software are equally good.

Thanks
informative video as usual
So nice of you

Do you advice me to learn ansys or abaque??
