I saw this band in 2003 and they had the same energy back then but still sounded amazing live. Some bands don’t hop around the stage all the time and that’s fine. They are a symphonic black metal band.

Awesome to see some older songs making their way back, but sadly the fire seems to be gone... Last time i saw them live was 2 years ago, and the impression i had during the set, was that i was seeing a band who were just there to play and get payed. Silenoz ans especially Galder seemed to be enjoying their time on stage, Daray and Viktor and Gelrioz were competent, but Shagrath performance just looks tedious. I feel bad by saying this, but as an old die-hard fan, it's hard for me to accept that the golden years are gone.

I don't see energy from them.. Specially from Shagrath. They look so tired and boring. Not head banging or some movements.. They are just standing and walking around playing the songs. They still sounds good when they play but I can definitely tell they wasn't feeling the songs. I love Dimmu Borgir but after seeing this concert, I think Dimmu Borgir is dead.

It's a festival, they were not headlining and usually only the headliner gets to make a complete soundcheck. It's normal to have sound issues under these conditions, but... I do have to agree with you that his performance has been declining... First time I noticed that was when I saw them during the "In Sorte Diaboli" European tour.
my opinion about the gig, I wasn't there live but watched it here on youtube, is that the biggest fire has gone out. they only play a gig when they get paid for it. I would have liked at least a little investment. but the same is unfortunately true of many bands these days. that's why I rarely go to gigs anymore.
In todays times question is how much are they even playing and how much is playback. It became such a norm that bands don't even try to hide it any more.
It was epic when Shagrath was not too lazy like a pregnant rhino and did move on stage. He isn’t 80 year old and this is blasphemy how he sings early stuff like “mourning palace”. Dimmu - music, atmosphere and energy but not this bullshit as most part of fans can see.
They sounded awesome 👍🏽😎 I don't care if some says they were tired. They sound and they played well, that's what matters most. Also the plus; attire was looking great!

Atmosphere plays a role. Playing during the day, no light show or anything, doesn't make you as energetic.
