Man I wish I could play those blazing triplets and be right on the one, tight, at the end of the phrase. These guys can play so fast right on time and the physicality of their playing! Its like watching a great dancer or athlete with the control of their body's their fingers and wrists, no wasted motion. No tension or tensing up when playing fast like they do all just the right movement flow and proper form. Sure they'll screw up now and then but so does everyone. All I'm saying is this is how to play. No tension proper motion and speed and strength of power (how dynamic, how hard or soft to play) is all right there.
I would have loved just to hear some ideas they had for that groove. Licks are cool I still must say the drums are kind of abraisive as a solo instrument and yes im a drummer.
Try having a Shed,,where ya hold a Groove for 20 minutes,,,,no fills I dare ya ,,,,Steve Jordon has been making a living cause he can hold a groove...Nothing wrong with letting loose....But start....a Groove shed..
