Hi guys! Welcome back to another thrift with me video. We are at the Salvation Army here in Overland Park, KS. I am always on the lookout for purses, bags, and accessories for my live shows over on the Poshmark app. I am not a reseller of hardgoods, however I do enjoy looking at all the things. I'm hoping to eventually find an arched cabinet for my home.

Glad I started watching your videos. I only live half hour from Kansas border and KC and it’s depressing that they have items so high. But this Salvation Army is so much better and bigger than where I live. I think you’re gonna find here within the next year that thrift stores are going to have to lower the prices because they are definitely not gonna sell as much. People will just go buy new on sale items at the same price that Salvation Army and Goodwill price their stuff at. Salvation Army and Goodwill are not eBay, Poshmark or Mercari or any other platform and they are actually losing out because resellers won’t buy that stuff at higher prices so Salvation Army and Goodwill just have to rely on non-resellers and non-resellers aren’t spending money right now on things they don’t really need because of the economy. So sad that nonprofits have become so freaking greedy, but I truly believe that they are just hurting their future sales and profit. Can’t wait for garage sale season to start.
You nailed it! What are they doing with the overpriced stuff that isn't selling? I don't understand it. You are correct. They haven't left any "meat on the bone" for resellers. I'm walking out empty-handed when I used to spend hundreds.ugh. I'm looking forward to garage sale season too! Thank you so much for watching ☺️
I have found Church ran thrift stores are much more affordable. You are also helping the community when you purchase from them.

You are exactly right. I live in the area, and the thrift stores have just about out-priced themselves. I'm at the point that I can do better with buying clearance items at retail stores and waiting for the garage sales. The lighting at that Salvation Army is weird, dull and creepy. It's not a good store.
It's totally ridiculous. You're right, sometimes we can do better bargain shopping retail. It's such a shame, but I so love to go look around. Thank you so much for watching ☺️

The prices have soared & it's slim pickings. Goodwill does auctions on a lot of items so we miss out on those in-store. And now I want chocolate cherry ice cream since you mentioned your sil's cherry pie.
Prices are seriously ridiculous! The thrifting is getting tougher and tougher. Go get you some chocolate cherry ice cream...I won't tell. ☺️

I did do some thrifting Sunday in Lee’s Summit, but didn’t find much. My husband got 2 pair of jeans and that all we bought. I did download Poshmark and found you so I hope to join tonight’s show.

I live in Saint Joseph, Missouri and I just started going to Thrift World. Still expensive though.

I used to go to that Salvation Army all the time years ago. But there prices are absolutely ridiculous now. There is a reason no one is shopping in that overpriced store
