That's the same way my granddad taught me and his before him, minus the snips. Just used an old Barlow knife and a log. I'm gonna try that recipe looks delicious.
I love the old Barlow knives. Still got a few of them. I like using the snipe on most small game. It makes it a little quicker when I have to do a lot of them. Thanks for coming along brother!!👊🏼👊🏼
Nice job man! Great video! I tried the air hose method once and it works AWESOME. Just slit the skin on the leg and pump air and the skin separates quickly. 👍
Man I have never thought of that, I’ll have to save some to try. I bet they would love some squirrel to pick out for supper..Sounds like a future video idea the next time we go!!! Thanks for watching brother!!👊🏼👊🏼
Lmao! "hors d'oeuvres of the trees"! That got me good!! 🤣 Skinning a deer, fleshing, preserving the hide and whatnot has always been on my bucket list. Phil thinks I should start off with a squirrel, but they're so tiny. Maybe a rabbit would be better for a "smaller" project. Still, when deer season starts maybe us three or more oughtta get together and skin some deer! Just a thought 😁 Excellent video! It got me thinking of possible projects!
I told Phil I am always up for showing how to skin and butcher, and it's a lot easier then you think once you get started. I would try a rabbit before a squirrel, rabbits have pretty soft and easy to pull coats where as squirrels can be tough as nail to skin. I honestly don't know why there is such a difference in them. This year let's all get together and do a deer skinning, I think y'all will like it. Thanks for watching!!
Awesome thanks for sharing brother
Thank you so much for stopping by! God Bless you for all you do!!
Nice !!!!
Thanks brother!!👊🏼👊🏼🔥🔥
