Playing the same deck but without Pincurchin and Potion for an extra Giovanni and Surge. I feel like 6 base pokémons + the 2 poke balls are enough. I got lucky to pull a golden Pikachu EX, and yesterday I pulled my 2nd Zapdos EX. As a F2P player, the game pretty much told me to play this deck.
Whenever I play Pikachu deck, 6 basic pokemon always feel a little bit too low. Yet whenever I try adding more basic, it reduces the chances of me drawing Pikachu EX.
Same goes for me. I feel like the game wants me to main this deck. I’m a new player and got almost all the components of this deck except for 1 ex zapdos and 1 raichu. I just got my 2nd pika ex. I think I’m buying my 2nd pick through craft and try my luck in this incoming black friday sale in packs.
I have been running an incomplete version of this deck, cause i have no zap and only one pikachu ex, yest is still my best deck just for how reliable it's damage is.
How do u do against articuno/starmie? I find it really weird how I always do well against pika decks with my water deck but I consistently lose to marowak/mankey mew two and some others
Acuno starme can beat anyone if they hit a misty - it’s always nice to play a deck with free wins in it - only pika being great is keeping it in check - the extra 20 for playing your weakness makes chip damage so hard to overcome
@@illspano exactly. People that weren’t lucky enough to pull ex pika were all but forced to run the standard raichu deck. Ex pika probably runs raichu sometimes , but they usually win with pika or zapdos before raichu even sees the field.
You dont need 2 raichus to play it though. I run 2 Pika EX, 1 pika 1 raichu, 1 zap, 1 electabuzz, and 1 blitzle 1 zebstrika and 1 lt surge. The lt surge will clutch you plenty of games on either the electabuzz in a pinch or for raichu + giovanni 1 shots mewtwo EX. without raichu mewtwo ex typically stomps pika ex. It's brutal and we see mewtwo everywhere
I still lack the 2nd Raichus to build this deck, but it looks really spicy. Although I got a couple of remarks: - With how speedy this deck is and how often you wanna switch I'm not sure how much the Potion really does for you. - With only 7 base pokémon you might run more often into scenarios where your Pikachu-EX can't unleash its full potential. I'd probably add one more basic to the deck, maybe regular Zapdos since it can take a hit or two or Electabuzz as an emergency target for Lt. Surge if you can only spare 2 energies. - Since Raichu is so reliant on Lt. Surge, maybe a 2nd copy might be more beneficial? Also I'm still wondering how effective 2 Sabrina really is. Sure it's a potential game ender, but other than that the situations, where Sabrina is benefiting me, are usually rare for me

Haven’t lost hardly any matches with this cooking Grass/Psychic deck: 2 Exeggutor, 1 Hypno, 1 Pidgeot, 1 Mewtwo Ex, 2 Erika… Exeggutor holds the line while charging Mewtwo and using pigeot and or Hypno abilities to stall. Sometimes Mewtwo starts until building Exe. 2 x speed in case of Drowsee start.
I would love to see you try a pidgeot arbok control deck. Free sabrina effects with pidgeot and arbok to keep the switched in mon stuck in active. Cheers!
It’s pretty useful i think since its a basic and can paralyze in an emergency, and in this deck it can just sit on bench for pika ex, or if you had to put energy on it that energy can be moved to raichu with Lt Surge
@@Semystic there’s a learning curve with pincurchin. It’s amazing that’s why top Pikachu Ex decks run it on touraments. It’s sometimes a way out or a difference maker on mirrors

I agree. Pika EX is simply OP. I was running Magneton/Raichu as my main for the events and was winning against meta as well.

Yeah this deck is op. Was using a dragonite deck before this and had about 50% win rate. After 5 games with this I’m undefeated lol

No, u don't have space for it, and u only have 1 surge, and its played more like a last resort kinda thing.
I take out zapdos's and pincurchin, and make room for magneton and another surge

Paralyze. Also, you can x-speed it out and surge the energy. He is so valuable that even other tournament winning Pikachu Ex decks have it.
Pincurchin feels useless. Sure it can para, but I feel those 2 energy are better used elsewhere
