- As someone that got pickle juice from Amouage Guidance, I was curious if Guidance 46 would be better. Considering I was far from alone, I figured it would be a priority for th team to make the extract different. I bought Amouage Guidance 46 so I could give you my thoughts and comparisons. I also compare to the affordable rendition by Paris Corner, Bayn Al Asrar.

I have listened to many good perfume influencers review Amouage Guidance and your review of Amouage Guidance is the most top tier, honest and comprehensive review I have ever heard!!!❤😊 I am one of those 50% who absolutely loved Amouage Guidance at first sniff. I never got the pickle juice but I do at times get the pencil shaving slightly, However I don’t care! It’s my favorite perfume of all time! I get it and I love it!! ❤😊

So glad you're back, Greta! And thanks for this honest review - you'll be saving people a LOT of money! I mean, I already had to close my eyes and gulp when I bought the OG Guidance. Its price is steep even with a 10% discount. But I'm happy with this masterpiece in a bottle, and I also have Bayn Al Asrar and, like you, am enjoying it. It helps satisfy my craving for the scent on hot days, and that way my expensive bottle will last longer, haha!
Appreciated hearing your review of Guidance. I was one that struggled with original Guidance. It smelled interesting , but with a very strong salty sandalwood. I didn’t get pickles, but I see what people mean by that. I ended up purchasing a sample of Guidance 46 and enjoyed it much more. It seemed smoother and creamier than the original. The performance is not as strong, which is a good thing for me. It is quite pricey, though!
It def doesn’t have the pickle juice, which is nice.

I just started the video but you are reminding me so much of Jennifer Coolidge’s character in Best in Show and It is cracking me up. I love her so much and you are totally nailing her whole vibe.
I love Orange Blossom but I do think that a lot of perfumers add that godforsaken cumin note that makes it smell like BO. Le Labo’s is a good example. I don’t see the cumin note listed but I swear it’s there. They probably think they are adding complexity and making it interesting but I think they’re ruining a gorgeous floral note. If you’ve ever been in a grove of orange trees in full bloom, there is nothing funky, earthy or cumin-like about it. It smells so clean and intoxicating, like heaven.
You just perfectly described the orange blossom perception issue. There is no cumin, just as there is no pickle juice in the fragrances 😀
A much needed video ❤, I own guidance, among many of the amouage fragrances, I was trying to justify the $ 520 + tax , I love my og guidance... still considering if it worth it...😮
So... I just went ahead and sprung for the 46 because Bergdorf has $100 off $500 or more. It works on beauty items too.
I decided I would try it from the bottle (since I've sampled) and if I decide it's just kit for me, I can declutter without losing too much money. And... if it works, then I got it for a good deal.

I would love to try both of these 😢 can’t get my hands on either one because I can’t stand to buy samples. I either blind buy or get a sample with purchase. I don’t charge people for samples either. When they purchase from my mecari I actually send them for free! I would love to try these two, but nobody has them to decant to let me try when I purchase lol I refuse to buy dupes either haha I either buy the real thing or I just go without! You CAN tell the quality difference no matter what anyone says!

Hi Greta, I sampled Guidance 46 too. I did not like og and do not like 46 either. Is the kind naked? does anyone like wearing Guidance? everyone says it smells good to others, but I wear perfume for myself. The whole Guidance wearing experience is like being possessed, perfume that wears you. I have so many better perfumes to enjoy :)

I have an atomizer of the OG, I don’t get pickle juice - I also just don’t care for it overall, I would just rather spend my dollars elsewhere. Curious about the 46, but sounds like I’m not missing out on anything.

Hi Greta. Thank you for creating this video. I have the original Guidance and don't wear it too often because it is really strong. I haven't purchased the 46 yet but have been paying attention to reviews. I like that your review is totally different than what most others are saying. It's interesting that your perception is that the 46 loses some of the florals and thus, some of the femininity. It is so expensive. I won't be blind buying and might purchase a sample instead.
I even smelled it on another creator last weekend and got the same thing. Its a woody fragrance. Akigala and Georgie wood. All she did was take the cap off her bottle. That stuff followed us out of the Uber and into the airport 🤣 no joke
@@GretaBeth ha ha. That's funny! I personally can't take s scent that is dominated by those kinds of strong woods. I love oud but only the way FDB, Roja and houses like that do it.

I couldn't handle the og at first...so i I got the DUA VERSION and it works for me. .i will definitely keep getting the Dua version and wait for them to do an inspired version of 46😂...
That isn’t a bad move. Dapper works better on me, than DUA. But if it works, do that!

@@GretaBeth I just got it and I sprayed the original on one arm and the 46 on the other my initial thoughts are the 46 is a little greener and more warmer weather tolerable meaning I can see it more for spring and summer. It’s not as heavy. It is still beast mode, but I get fresh/lush notes compared to then the original which is more dense. I’m going to wear them all day and see how they change. Thank you again for such a speedy delivery.

My friend bought the OG recently because she loved mine but her bottle isn’t the same as mine .. less potent doesn’t last as long as mine not does it project the same .
I have heard that lot# issue.
