I think it’s better and economically to keep a natural hair because at the end of the day it cost to buy wigs and you can’t keep your hair and the end of day.
I just check for the ingredients of the shampoo or conditioner before purchasing. I avoid those with SLAs. I do use in emergency if I am away from home and have no option. I wear satin bonets to avoid snagging and drying.
You can use black soap in place of shampoo. Also vinegar is a great natural cleaner if shampoo is expensive. There's also an ayurvedic Indian natural soap as alternative.
I was my hair 1-2 times a month so that's 12 - 12 times a year. I used to wash weekly out of childhood habit and natural hair influencers advocating in early noughties. Not any more.
I'm glad you've been able to carve out a sustainable hair routine for yourself. Although, weekly washes work for some especially white folks. But I agree with you, early on in the natural hair community, a good number of influencers promoted weekly washes/shampooing. Now, we know better. I cowash weekly instead (not consistently). But I maintain my clarifying washes 1-2 times per month. ☺️
Omooooooo😅 I no longer stress myself, i use clay in washing my hair or dudu osun when i run out of clay, then rinse with acv. I make my own acv. I use mega growth deep conditioner and leave in conditioner, it doesn't have the slip i need so i add okro gel to it, my hairrrrrrrrr is thrivinggggggggggg💃💃💃💃💃 as for oil i use kernel oil, my scalp is already soooooo oily, God jst dash me all his sebum😂😂, so i use the kernel oil and conditioners only on my hair strands, i cannot come and die 4 hair products biko😅😅😅😅
@@Riwograce abi ooo. I love your creativity and improvisation. I bet you are now enjoying your hair journey. Simplicity is more sustainable after all. Thank you, I value your input. 🤍🥰🥰
@@deborahnkemjika_01 I make d clay veryyyyy watery, I don't make it a paste, I hate shampoos. I mix one teaspoon of bentonite, rhassoul and kaolin clay each, a spoon of fenugreek powder, one teaspoon of acv with a cup of water, it leaves my hair really clean and shining, I've been using this for a year now👌🤗🤗

You are correct. Clay mask works too. I appreciate your input. 😉👍🏼
The prices of hair products are getting ridiculously high by the day. It's important we return to natural remedies. 🍀
