Thank you for posting! I have seen him solo, with Bad Company, with Queen and even just with a guitar at Tower Records Hollywood and loved every single show... he's simply the best blues Rocker in history.
Awesome upload thanks! Saw FREE with Gillan Deep Purple in '71. Probably the best "support" band ever. Sure ... over 50 years ago but glad I have the memories from the early years of these ground breaking bands ... like Led Zeppelin a year later Feb '72 Sydney. 🤠
I seen Paul Rodger’s twice on that tour in 2001 in Melbourne. In my opinion Bad company should the head line act. I’ve seen him at rod laver arena. But guess what,he done a gig at a pub on the same tour, it was at the Hallam pub which at the time was on the eastern outskirts of Melbourne. Paul Rodger’s is without doubt the best singer on the planet. I’d love him to tour Australia one more time before i die.
My first boyfriend took me to see Bad company in baton rouge Louisiana and I was just 13 years old I literally had to climb out the window in order to go with my first boyfriend, so that I could go to baton rouge to see Bad company! I still remember it, like yesterday! It is October 4th 2024, and I am 60 years old, and still listening to, Free, Bad company, The firm, the law, and his solo stuff, and I think that his new album"midnight Rose"is excellent!! I don't think I will ever forget going to the Bad company concert, my boyfriend and we had front row seats, and we were right in the middle. Unfortunately, I just found out that my first boyfriend Danny Legnon, passed away. I certainly hope my memories, continue to be as vivid as they are now for the rest of my life!❤❤❤😊
Beautiful. Did not realize he played guitar. Great talent. I just recently learned about the band Free, I think it was from a documentary about Lynyard Skynard I was watching.
I used to watch that show instead of going to university. The sun shone just in the spot in front of the tv at 10am when this show was on, and it was too tempting to stay and smoke some weed in the sun and watch Bert instead of going to a cold lecture theatre.
I met him in 2000 at the KLOS's Mark and Brian Holloween Parade in Anahiem, CA when the Tubes played after the parade. The place was crowded so he asked if he could sit at the table that me and my brother were sitting at while we waited for the Tubes to come on stage. Really a very nice guy and was fun talking with him. I've loved his vocals since clear back in the days of Free with the song Alright Now. That song is still a favorite of mine. Was the song that introduced me to Rock Music around 1971 or 72.
I don't think there is anything on the many tapes that were gifted by Jock from that series and to be honest I have never seen anything from it on other old tape traders lists. Lots more video from Oz still to share.

It's good where you meet someone like that and they turn out to be nice.
Thanks for sharing the memory
WTF STV is mining some great OZ content….do you have any Rock around the world stuff in the treasure trove you have acquired?
