- September 2018 sees me targeting an old gravel pit in Lincolnshire steeped in history and containing some lovely old carp. I drop lucky on my first trip catching two of the venue's A-Team, including Arnie the common that hasn't been out in over a year. I talk tactics for new waters as well as some of my thoughts on targeting the biggest fish in a venue.

Watched this Vlog must have been 5-6 times now. Really enjoy the no bullshit mentality of your angling and its refreshing to see. As always Cheers Crowy!!
All the best John 👍
Love watching your vlogs. And putting the info you share into my own anglin approach I'm a Yorkshire man myself. You are a inspiration.

Rob Weaver Definitely Worth a try mate 👍
That 34 pound mirror...just maddd!!!
Awesome! I think your being modest Simon. You got everything right, clearly. I forget which famous golfer said, "it's funny how the more I practice, the luckier I get"!
DrCarp cheers mate, yeh that was Gary Player, what an amazing golfer he was 👍
Simon Crow had to laugh when you were talking about carpers these days fishing 10 millers, etc. That's me! I look at a 20mm boilie and just think it looks ungainly, and here you are doing the opposite and making me look a right plonker........lol!
Well done Simon cracking start mate im after a couple of carp where i fish be there at weekend great video keep it up

Oh yes! ...that common a lovely fish well done mate! Are u using a leader or naked with that simple rig si??
Thanks mate, on this occasion I used mono straight through but I do use leaders from time to time, all the best
Tremendous 😁
Do you always put a bait on straight out of the bag? Do you ever put a tipper on the bait?
Jason Elles Occasionally I use toppers mate, depends on the situation 👍
Did you take out(4:55)the bottle and the plate out of water?
Miķelis Taranda The plate is mine lol, soaking after my dinner 👍

Polo swim a good swim as well
Is that flouro mainline you using?
2B Sure No mate, it’s Outline 15lb mono by Avid 👍
@@SimonCrow how does it behave?
hi simon do you use flourocarbon mainline
lazy carper no mate never
seems a heavy line the way it drops of the tips, looks good for slack lines
Little bit off bait 4kg takes me 2 months to use that much will have to start putting more out
Martin Crombie apply as much as you think you will need he's only put in 4kg as he's fishing a water with nothing smaller than 20lb, he would have seen fish moving and a few of them too put out that much bait if he never saw a fish he would have started with more like half kg it's a lake with big fish that love there boilies
@@medicatedflowers821 well said you only use what you need. no point in sticking X Amount of bait in of there not feeding. i can go some weeks using as much as 10/15 kg of complex t if I'm pre baiting. and then others when the wethers is not playing ball I can user nothing but 3 fluros. just about learning what them fish are doing then it all shud falls in place 😎
cotsworld carper correct
No more Nash gear 😩
