I really enjoy Annette's version of this, especially in the Imaginaerum movie. There's something almost "wicked" about the way Annette does it.

I remember seeing her live with Nightwish back in 2012, before her being announced as their new lead singer. Her presence on stage and the versatility and power in her voice floored me. She could easily sing both Tarja’s and Annette’s songs while making them her own and, I dare say, having them sound better than the other two singers. She’s simply incredible.

She was going to shoot her last solo concert before covid got in the way. I think the concert is back on but hadn't heard about filming.

Jazz is also misunderstood - one of the more emotional musical expressions. A favorite of mine. I love Floor, and she can do Jazz, but it is not her strongest form (my opinion) even though she still kills it... Isn't that insane? Not her strongest area, and still blows the vast majority out of the water... She is insanely talented.

This is one of Floor's ReVamp songs and this performance takes place after she joined Nightwish. There was almost a four year overlap between ReVamp and Nightwish. She was still touring ReVamp during the early part of the overlap.
What's compelling about this video is that Floor uses four distinct vocal styles and seamlessly transitions between a pop sound, rock, operatic and growls.

For some reason, parts of this remind me of several The Gathering tracks. One of them Golden Grounds? Although it's not all that jazzy. But slow tempo and low-voiced Anneke. Well, many parts of this are also not translated into the same jazz vibe. Interesting arrangement. I say that, not having heard the original. (EDIT: Judging from other comments, it would appear that this was indeed (mostly?) jazz to begin with.)
I love how Floor immediately turns all sultry to satisfy the cliche that this setting brings.

I read that this concert was in two parts with a 15 min. intermission and in that time she raffled off that dress you see in this video. In the second half she was wearing a different dress. More of this concert is on TH-cam and you will see the other dress.
It wasn't auctioned. You could buy hand signed cards at the merch stand which also had a number on them. The person who bought the card with the winning number would get the costume. So it wasn't an auction, it was more like a raffle. She raffled one of her costumes on each show of that tour. I did buy some cards, but didn't win. Then again, I do have one of her costumes though. (I got it on another occasion)

You need to watch the AFAS Live in Amsterdam 2021 version of this song. It is the best. I have been waiting for this song to be recorded professionally with Floor and here it is. It does not get any better than this. Check it out.

Anette had sang jazz long before she joined Nightwish with her mothe in a jazz bands, so I think Tuomas wrote this song with that in mind. Listen to Anette singing this you really hear jazz is no new to her, and it is Anettes song, one of her best live too.

You should see the older version with Annette at the Montrose Jazz Festival. Annette is not a good metal singer but she is fantastic at blues/ jazz.

I've loved Nighwish for many many years now and I feel a profound respect for each singer (to each their own). Fell in love with the band with Tarja, then kept listening to them with Annette and Floor is just out of this world (I love love love Floor), however..., some songs from the Imaginaerum album (and movie) I prefer Annette, this is without a doubt a lovely version, just that the original has something extra.

The song is by Nightwish, but the song does not belong to either Floor (in this case, acting independantly from the band) nor to this band. In this case it is the same as any other artist doing a cover of a song, ergo it is not a Nightwish performance, just as Peter Riggs stated.

Comprehension is also important. The song was created by Nightwish, but it was not being performed by them. If Floor wasn't the one singing it, would you still be arguing about it? It was advertised in a way that said Nightwish is performing the song, so Peter's correction is still valid.
If the reactionist lists the Nightwish version of "High Hopes" as "High Hopes by Pink Floyd" (not properly crediting which version, nor whom it was performed by), is it not false advertising? It is technically correct that the song was created by Pink Floyd, but the people who click on it would not be seeing a performance by the band that was advertised (I used this song as an example, but it applies the same to any cover song performed by any band ever).
And I believe (if I'm not remembering incorrectly) that he has also reacted to Nightwish's version of "Phantom of the Opera" (from "End of an Era") and listed it as "by Nightwish", so he's either incorrectly labeling it here or there (and before you point it out, yes, technically an argument could be made that both are correct, but it is erroneously misleading at best, and intentially falsifying at worst).
When he listed "by Nightwish" in the title, he is directly implying that the performance was done by the whole band "Nightwish", not just the singer (who was not even affiliated with the band when the song was created or released) along with some other band. That is what Peter was directly pointing out. And however you use the (technically correct) semantics to point out who ghe original creator was, commonly accepted usage is that whomever you list in the title is who is performing the song, not whomever created the song; most people would not click on a song performed by a band other than the specific one they are looking for.
I'm not trying to get into an argument, but Peter was not wrong for pointing out that the title was misleading and inaccurate (again, by commonly accepted usage, not by technicalities).

Secondly, maybe this helps you understand;
It is perfectly fine to refer to a piece of music by its composer.
Just because the performing artist(s) aren't the original artist or composer doesn't mean you can't refer to it as such nor is it considered misleading.
Eg. 24 Caprices for Solo Violin by Niccolo Paganini
Edit: The reason I am using this example is to point out to you that people have been using this format for centuries already. Now if you put this in context with the background of the reactor you would understand that it makes perfect sense. Hope that helps.

I still cant get over her shoulders here , definitely has the frame/size/looks to compete as a fitness model if she wanted .....working on her farm has obviously kept her in tip top shape .
