Here I have explained in detail about the brake issues faced by hyundai creta owners. The car is 2017 hyundai creta 1.6 petrol sx+. The video was shot by me on 15.11.2020.

The jamming of brakes in high speed is a very common issue with Creta. Many owners have complained of a similar experience

I also facing this in Kia Seltos, a rattling noise and break jam. May be it is due to abs.
@@ParamShivamSinghroyal I heard the same issue is there in verna too. But it is not there in the elantra.
I live in Australia. I faced the same issue with my Toyota Camry 2021 but later on Toyota had recall all of their vehicles to fix this problem. In india my parent bought Creta in 2021. Its not related to any loose sand or surface, its one of the ABS issue which is in Creta all over ther India. Although Hyundai knows that where this problem coming from but because of the high demand of Creta, they know this problem which looks minor for Indian is big issue but no one raising voice together or no one complaining in large number. What i think Creta should be recalled or stop buying this car. Believe me we indian are very careless towards ourself.
Thats exactly what is happening. But I am surprised to hear that this issue was there with the camry.
My friend is having a 2018 verna and the issue is there. My dad owns a 2013 elantra which I also drive and this issue is there. In elantra it not as bad as the creta. In creta the brake jams and I have to let the brake pedal go off for a split second and then press it agains.
I think this is a common issue with hyundai cars. But I have not checked with other brands.
When abs moter works it releases the pressure on the tyre on gravel surface to avoid locking .. even the tyre marks are giving keen indication that it's abs .. even if u release the brake and press it again u can't to it faster than abs . But yes safety is in our hands we can't repy on abs completely.. it has been proven by other folks that gently braking can have shorter braking distance compared to hard abs braking on some weather conditions like snow .. anyway stay safe and thank u for the video

Brother it's the normal functioning of ABS as your left tyre was on little sand so it wal loosing traction so to maintain traction ABS pulsation was there

Yes I faced the same issue in my creta 2023 while braking hard on a pathole. after this i faced that rattling sound like something jamming the right wheel for some distance
Yes that's the issue. As time went on I found out how to manage this issue. When the brake jams, just let go off the brake pedal for a split second and then press again. That will solve this issue.
The whole judder in brake is just the brake catching and releasing the disc at so much intervals to provide anti lock braking force . And u need not press harder ..modern cars do beyond a point totally work based on abs response... Once the abs kicks in Ur brake how much ever Harder u may press would respond to just not locking it. That's only the issue in case of one wheel losing traction over the other . In case u own a luxury car it's has torque vectoring system which helps to individually reduce the torque at one wheel to prevent a grip loss or vice versa . It's just the brake working it's thing .bikes even face this too ...and in the owners manual of my bike it's clearly mentioned that in high speed braking the bike brake lever may vibrate but it's just the abs working and do not let the brake lever go....same with cars.... basically
Yes its the over sensitive abs. My dad has a hyundai elantra and this issue in not there. 2 motorcycles in my home are fitted with abs and no such problem is there.
Our brand new creta just 3 days old. We have given the car back due to braking malfunction. This car has manufacturing defect in the brakes. Please be cautious.

We had issues only at speed above 60 kmph
Sir I also have a creta SX(O). I feel the brakes have a very small travel to them which makes me afraid. And i don't think the brakes are as responsive compared to my Swift. Should I get it checked sir. Also my brakes make a rattling sound.
If there is very little free play travel better check it soon. I don't think cretas brakes are as effective as swift. Rattling sound comes when we apply the brakes on uneven surfaces.
This is what I am currently doing: whenever seeing such situation like Bus and car trying to overtake kind, get into lower Gear. if driving in 6th then down shift to 4-3 and then brake. touchwood not facing any brake issue. till date.

Its disc rotor corring issue .. do surface smoothening in lathe before changing ur brake pad . Don't change new rotor because in service center they ll ask us to change new one ..
Hmm this seems like the correct explanation to this issue but if it is disc corring shouldn't that be happening on good roads too?
Am also having this same problem on the date of delivery itself because of the bad road. Then I asked the showroom mechanic person he said that due to the abs only sir and it is a common one so don't get worried like that he said. But in Volkswagen vento I didn't faced any issues like that before
Yes. I never faced any such issue with my dad's elantra. But in creta people are saying its the abs. Don't know how.

Iam facing brake sound for my brand new venue diesel sx. It goes after 1 km of driving. what is the issue? any one know? i have given it to dealer.
This is quite different from the issue mentioned in this video. May be some issue with brake fluid circuit. It may be a serious issue, better get it checked with your dealer immediately.

Still the issue is there but now I have adapted myself to such situations. Just leave the brake pedal for split second and press again. This will solve the issue.
Their is not break issue it is because of abs I have also creta 1.6 petrol varient braking performance is really good even at the speed of 140km per hour

Oh. My dad's having a 2013 elantra and there is no such issue with the elantra. I think this issue is with cars manufactured for the Indian market.

I'm 100% sure It's the soft suspension of Creta causing this problem
But it feels like the abs fault. If it is the suspension, the whole vehicle should vibrate.
Bro its abs action that rattling is due to the tire that locks up on that lose gravel surface......

I've tried this on my XUV 500 while braking on different surfaces... It does not make any sound.. this sound is because Creta's rear brakes are drum brakes and not Disc brakes.. XUV 500 has disc brakes on all 4 wheels..
@@pranavr7281 may be. My dads elantra has all 4 discs and this issue is not there so far.

Good to hear this issue is not there in seltos. The issue in creta is not solved. Its very common in 1st gen creta. Don't know whether the issue is there in 2021 creta.

@@praveenbadagi4285 yes bad roads, roads with gravel especially where there is less grip between road and tyre it happens. But now I am used to it.

It's very normal in ABS vehicles
I was using alto from 10 years and i bought creta in 2018 and i also experienced the same rattling on brake !!
Then i have complaint to the service center they told me it's a normal on a ABS vehicles
However my uncle bought eco sport i drove it and done a brake test the experience was same !!!
So don't worry !
If it is the abs then its ok.
It's not common on all vehicles its common on Hyundai creta especially abs with esp model vehicles because of faulty abs module

Once the brake starts to rattle, release the brake pedal for a split second and then press the brake again. Thats is how I am managing.

Yeah it happens. Even happens sometimes when one wheel hits an pothole and we brake at the same time.
