Self cuts take like 2 hours and since it’s awkward, most people will mess up their hairs or give up. Plus learning to fade is confusing when your a beginner. The barber industry will never die 💯
but you feel like you have won at life once you have mastered cutting your own hair :D It took me about 5months to learn how to make it look good.
It takes time. I started a year ago and now I'm pretty decent. U just have to learn how to angle ur cuts. Saves me so much money cutting my own hair.

You are absolutely right about Barber industry,, restaurants are packed and we see new restaurant opening all the time, just because people can cook at home doesn’t mean restaurant doors will shut, and cooking at home is 1000* easier than cutting your own hair.
I have been cutting my own hair for over 17 years and I absolutely love it. It is so awesome to bee able to cut my own hair. Started out years and years ago with the beard trimmer and moved to electric razor. Not good for the razor lol!! Well, then years later got the clippers and now I own 6 or so clippers. Also have trimmers as well. Boy oh boy I don’t know what it is about the clippers but I love the sound of them. I can almost hear them talking their language. When they are on it sounds like they are happy to do their work. I named all of my clippers, trimmers, and raisers. They are all named after girls. Sometimes when I am not cutting my hair I will sit with them and give them oil and let them buz for a bit longer so I can hear their buzzing. Each clipper’s sounds are way different from the others. I give my clippers, and trimmers lot of love by cleaning them and keeping them well oiled so they can take care of my head. Their is something about that sound listening to the clippers hum and buz. Their is just something about pulling out a clipper and taking the blade guard off to have it work or just oil them. So cool to have it showing its teeth as if they are to say “don’t mess with me, because I will cut you. I am mean, lean and proud of my work.” I would imagine that that is what the clippers would say if they could talk.
Please don't stop making these videos. I would watch it all day if there was enough of them XD

I cut my hair the same way i usually cut my clients, it just takes longer to fade. Cutting the top is always a struggle and my shoulders are always sore after the cut😂

It's been hard. I barely got a fade from my barber I've been going to for 13 years last week. First it was the pandemic then it was a motorcycle accident and breaking my arm and no way to get there. Then he had surgery. Needless to say I bought a cheap conair. Been doing it myself but not even close to what my barber does. So I let it grow out before I got in. Now I been looking for some clippers of quality just in case an emergency situation comes up I gotta fade myself. Kinda leaning towards the 5 star senior corded clippers. I figured that'd last me a long time for what I'd be using it for doing it myself at home. By no means do I plan on stop going to my barber. I have no intentions on being a barber but I do believe in buying once and quality tools that can be multi purposed. Thanks for the video just became a subscriber.
