It's a shame it had to go back. I didn't want to try to fix it myself. I might try another once I hear from the seller. Some of the pickups not remotely in contact with the wheels. Regards Paul.
So spooky, my model has almost the same issues!! Mine randomly started running terribly out of the blue, cannot start my 6 coach pullman train from a standing start without slipping, and also the middle tender pickups were and still are bent out of shape!! Also my stayalive dosnt work either thats factory fitted. It runs fine now i will say, but it still cant handle my pullman train and the stay alive still wont work.
Dapol also made a better tender loco connector too. WHY do other manafacturers continue to use those stupid god awful wires and plugs!? @@paulcherrytrains3339
Just lately on TH-cam I have noticed a common theme regardless of model train manufacture. Models that seem to be built in a rush with glue marks or parts missing. I recently brought a KR Models second batch Fell first one didn't run well the replacement was just as bad. Something is going on in China a couple of suggestions been made one the Chinese are not interested in model train production as more money can be made from high tec products another is they are struggling to fulfil orders due to past lockdowns. Perhaps a rethink is required on were production is done.
Yes I totally agree. Any company whether new or established are totally at the mercy of the factories and shippers. Standards need to be improved. Regards Paul.
I wonder how little the workers are paid and how long hours they are required to work. Anyone who has done repetitive work knows how important regular breaks are.
The wheels started to slip after very little running. Something I didn't expect from such a heavy model. It could barely propel 3 coaches. The main issue was that 4 of the 6 tender pickups were not making contact with the wheels. Looking at the forums I was not alone. It's such a shame it had to go back. Thanks for watching and commenting. Regards Paul.
Hi, sorry to hear of this situation, it's a shame that some of the Chinese workers don't care what they are doing, Accurascale need to find out what is going on, the quality control at the factory isn't very good at all, i had issues with an Accurascale purchase a few months ago, it could have been avoided if the item had been inspected properly, I feel Accurascale need to find out who the workers are and get them extra training, and train the QC to do it's job properly, i would hate for Acurascale to go down the Hornby route of poor workmanship reaching the customers who are paying good money for these items, thanks for sharing.
It seems these companies are at the mercy of the factories and shippers. I agree better training in quality control is needed. Thanks for watching and commenting. Regards Paul.
Dirty wheels is a common problem, not a manufacturer's fault. Good on you for cleaning them with cotton buds. I agree with the tender pickup problem, but wheelslip is meant to happen. Wheelslip is what makes the running of a model engine so realistic. I hope you'll get a better running model in the meantime. I recommend watching a real steamy slip on the rails as she starts off. It happens due to either damp or icy rails, or a steep incline right out of the station throat. A model engine's wheels are supposed to slip sometimes, it makes for realistic running performance just like the real thing.
It would hardly pull 3 coaches from a standstill. It went better after cleaning. The tender pickups were the real problem. Such a shame it had to go back. Thanks for watching and commenting. Regards Paul.
Don't get rid of your mainline model version Paul there abit noiser but really reliable i know this because I've got one and I've also got a 5 mainline colletts too older models are the best i know its disappointing sometimes all the best Paul Higgins from Nottingham 👍
I've been seeing a bunch of issues with the Accurascale Manor, even as simple as the motor does not cope well with a 2%(ish) grade on an helix, with 4 or more coaches. I think it's a shame, the model is so well detailed, but let down by poor engineering. Maybe you could get a Dapol version and rename/renumber it to Anthony Manor 😁 At least the Dapol version appears to be quite solid in the engineering department.
It's a shame it didn't perform as hoped. Mine had problems that should have been picked up. I have the Dapol Hinton Manor which I'm very pleased with. Thanks for watching and commenting. Regards Paul.
Hi Paul I hope you are well Wow Seem they alot around Have you checked rmweb on more cases. I hope get it sorted soon. My 15xx is off back to ros Keep safe ARP
I'm well thanks hope you are well too. I hope you get it sorted. These quality control issues seem to be too common. It's a shame as it's a very nice model. Regards Paul.
Informative post. Thanks. These things happen unfortunately.

Hi Paul so sorry to hear. i have 2 deltics on pre-order ith accurascale.
It's a shame it had to go back. I wasn't going to try to fix a brand new model. I hope yours are OK.

It's such a shame as it is a beautifully detailed model. The Dapol worked perfectly for me. Thanks for watching and commenting. Regards Paul.

@@Shamshiadadd I agree long repetitive work leads to mistakes .
All wheels get dirty after a while - bad luck - may be better luck next time 🤔🚂🚂🚂
