Graveyard of the Giants theme A rather dark theme for a frozen place of death. Why couldn't all the giants be buried in the mausoleum anyway? Please see playlist for download information and other things.
I really enjoy how ice levels usually have themes with really high, "sparkling" or "fluffy" notes, but this theme is very heavy, low-register, and hardcore.
After hearing this in Make a Good Mega Man Level Contest 2, it actually kind of does sound like it would fit as a Dr. Wily stage, or maybe a Sigma stage given the guitars.
The best theme in the game. Without question. It's dark and haunting while maintaining an air of mystery and tension. Naramura is a genius considering his lack of knowledge in music theory.
I'm guessing this song is supposed to be an extension of Giant's Rage? It even has that short intro all boss songs have. It would make sense considering the Graveyard of the Giants should be Sakit's resting place.
Theory 've heard is that the Inferno Cavern was the power source for the Ruined Tower (thats the alternate level's name right?) which was an early attempt at making a rocket.
@GlobalNexus The Graveyard is supposed to represent the death of the Giants, obviously :P The Tower of Ruin was supposed to be a kind of "Tower of Babel" where their Mother could climb back up to her home. As for the Inferno Cavern, I think Naramura just wanted a lava level XD
Easy. The Giant's Mausoleum is where their history is recorded, and where their deeds were celebrated, also where their statues are. The Giant's Graveyard is where they were buried, and is ultimately just cold storage for the massive corpses the Giants left behind when they died...or whatever parts of them remained.
@@Nehfarius The "statues" in the mausoleum are also corpses. One tribe of giants (the Moon Tribe iirc) betrayed the Mother and were exiled to the graveyard, where they froze to death. The Mother loyalists died sometime later in the mausoleum.
Original Sound Version. It's sometimes used as terminology for older videogame soundtracks that have since received reorchestrations, or where the "original soundtrack" is an adapted or cut version and not the original version used in-game.
the common consensus seems to be caught between this song, Curse of Iron Pipe, and Moonlight Dance. I'm also personally a big fan of Wonder of the Wonder and Primitive Dance.
MAGMML2 comments aside, this has such interesting instrumentation that I actually couldn’t figure out what kind of system the source game came from. (And I still don’t, though I’m guessing 16-bit.)
Not everyone but I just feel like with these tracks the magmml2 fanbase should make dedicated videos for it or stop flooding the comments with "cAmE FrOm MaGmMl2 LoL EeCkS DeE" like it's fine if there's some but make it so the fans of the games can see comments from other fans and NOT from a different fan base talking about a level which is as long as normal megaman game (heck two if you know what to do or maybe three if you're a god gamer or maybe SIX yeah you can beat all of the nes megaman games in the time it takes to beat 1 level in this game) if they want

This is one hell of a song to listen to while jogging.
This song starts out very simply, but then in a subtle way becomes extremely awesome. I applaud the guy who made this music. It's terrific.
The Wily Maze...
what
i loved the spirte game fight except those ghost pricks showing up like total pricks.
Couldn't ask for a more epic piece. o/

With that abhorrent sandstorm from Snow Man.

I didn't expect the original MSX Version of the soundtrack to get some praise besides some SiivaGunner Rips of it, but I live to see the day.
honestly maybe not specifically that but I do get a "final level" vibe from it.

can't wait to hear his composition in la-mulana 2!

Amen to that!
what is music theory?

*Dr. Eggman?!*
Man, somebody should cover this beast on guitar.
This one along with Mr Explorer is my favourite song from this game :)
That actually makes a ton of sense. It's still too bad the Giants were never able to reach their goal.

The only thing that could have made his section better was including "YOU DIED" if the player died in the Mega Londo rooms.

The bass is godlike
@GlennMagusHarvey
Well, it's lighter, that's for sure. Blizzard Buffalo's stage wasn't exactly an underground place of death, after all.
I wish we knew the real relationship between the back and front areas, 'cause without it the Giants Graveyard is mildly confusing.

Probably, but I assume the demons who open Viy's eye for him are minions that helped their work.
i kind of hear LoLK's Clownpiece theme though
What does OSV stand for? Original SoundVrack?

Why has no one ever made an extended version of this version?
I know dude. I've been asking for the same thing to happen.
It's too epic apparently or something
best hecking song...............................????? I can't decide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this game is so awesome!!!!!!!!!!

@GlennMagusHarvey
Do a search for the Blizzard Buffalo music from Megaman X3 sometime. It evokes much the same feeling as this song.
I finally found the song from magmml2
I hope you'll stay for a while. The whole La-Mulana soundtrack is fantastic.
Well the inferno cavern was supposed to boil water to launch the tower of ruin to the heavens.
@tamahagane Ah yes, I know that track. Though I'd say it evokes more of a "winter wind" feel, and is lighter than this one.
My opinion was that Viy was a member of one of Mothers' children, and his race built the Tower of Ruin.

The original version of the game was on PC, but was intentionally made to look and sound like it was on MSX.
That's horrible. Japanese game devs really know how to craft a damn good emotional story.
I wonder how many people came here because of Make a Good Mega Man Level 2.
