  • The 2021 Cruzbike might be the most versatile recumbent bike available. This front-drive beauty can handle all kinds of riding from commuting to long-distance tours. This edition of the S40 features some great new features that improve performance and comfort.

    Tim, thanks for your help with my new S40. I followed the Cruzbike riding agenda, and was up and pedaling on day 2! I'm 5'7", 69, and love the look of this bike.

    Thanks. definitely oversized for me. One size fits all is just 3kg extra weight smaller people are supposed to haul around.

    Spongy feel in brakes is usually sign of air in the lines, so bleed them or fully replace the oil.

      Good tip! Of course these are cable brakes, not hydraulic

    Thanks for putting this video together. I'm very interested in Cruzbikes. I'm a taller/heavier guy myself. I'm a little concerned about the rating for riders up to 250. I'm around 225, but could easily envision myself touring with packs pushing the limits of 250. Any thoughts/concerns about that?
    Also, just out of curiousity, how tall are you?

    • @BentRevolution
      @BentRevolution  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think you will be fine in terms of weight. The frame is very stiff and even with some bags should be fine. I am 6'8" so I am at the exteme end of the fit scale.

      @@BentRevolution Thanks! one more question. Is it possible to adjust the angle of the seat at all?

    • @BentRevolution
      @BentRevolution  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BikesAndBanjos The seat is mounted on the frame, so no adjustment to the angle is possible.

    Just curious, what is the difference between s40 and v20c. For me it seems that the geometry of these bikes is quite the same. Is s40 much slower than v20c? I'm just looking to purchase my first recumbent and I know very little about these bikes. I would want the fastest lowracer which I can ride safely on busy roads so I can do a bit of touring with it too :D. Are these bikes faster than m5 M-racer or M5 lowracer? Too many questions already... :)

    • @BentRevolution
      @BentRevolution  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The biggest difference is the seat angle. The S40 has a 40 degree angle and the V20 has a 20 degree angle. Cruzbike says the V20 is the fastest bike you can buy. Touring might be better on the S40 or Q45.

    That's a nice set up , the lower pedal position would suit me . But is that governed by how tall you are ? Or could I set it up at 5ft 8

    • @BentRevolution
      @BentRevolution  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pedal position is determined by the bike fit according to your size. Your pedals would be significantly higher than mine.

      @@BentRevolution a smaller wheel size could work on a self build I guess, do you think it handles better in that position or higher

    • @BentRevolution
      @BentRevolution  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sweeney37 I don't reccommend changing the wheel size, it could cause other issues. The handling is about the same no matter where the crank is. I have had to test ride shorter setups and it all seems the same to me.

    Hi Tim, being a little older how does the ride compare to the Q45?

    • @BentRevolution
      @BentRevolution  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Q45 has a softer, suspended ride than the S40. Both bikes ride great, but you will feel less of the road vibration on the Q45.
