This seal change series just came up in the right time. Had crash with my Hornet 6.4.2022. and my forks are bent. This will help me when I will be replacing them. Thanks for video.

Hey ! Thanks a lot for this very well made tutorial.
I've done this but have a few questions now (I finished one of my forks but am not certain I've done everything right).
    - For the volume, I've been told it's better to measure the oil height from the tube since it's more precise than the volume iteself. Do you know what is the corresponding heigh here ?
-The ring as a flat face and a rounded one. Do you remember which one goes in front of the joint seal ? I've put the flat against the seal, is it the right one ?
-When you're done and put the cork at the end, do you need to screw the cork at the maximum and then block it with the bolt ? Or bolt at the lowest possible then the cork comes against it ? Not certain here neither.
    Thank you !

Love it! Keep up the good work. Would be interested in seeing a chain, sprocket and wheel bearing change for this model. What tool would you recommend for lifting the front? Ladder and strap?

Hi. Thanks for the good video. Do you know what the air gap should measure as I have heard it is best to measure the oil level rather than go on ml if you are not entirely stripping and cleaning all the fork. I can’t find this information anywhere. Thank you.

Hiii, i think my 2012 hornet's seals started cracking (trying to get dirt particles off with makeshift cleaning tools but it didn't work) so i;ll replace both seals
My question is : i saw a few french youtubers do that on inverted forks like the hornet, but more than checking the fluid quantity, they'd also measure the level with a caliper measuring tool. Is it required ? i'll look on the Hornet manual before doing it, seems easy enough and around 50 euros of tools. But i'm curious if i should try and get this information or if the quantity on the workshop manual is enough ? i guess so
    thankkks

Hi Aleksander.. Do you realy thought I didn't clean out the complete front fork..? I think you should have a look at PART 2.. and buy me a beer 😉

You should watch it , because you DIDN'T remove the damper from the inside of the fork tube. There is a bolt on the bottom that releases the damper .After that you take it out of the fork tube. You never done that in any of the 3 videos.

Hi Alexander, sorry mate but I thought you where talking about the Honda cb750f2 I did recently. But in part 2 of the Honda hornet 600 you can see me pouring in petrol to clean it out 😉
