Great lesson thanks. I’m wondering why you don’t go from the F barr cord to a G barr cord (vs open G) as an option. Sometimes I find that an easier switch.
Great question! I meant to add that option in there and forgot! 😬 It is easier to just move the shape. But i like the G for a little barre chord "rest" too.
Awesome! I am an intermediate player but struggle with different strum patterns during songs! Doing lessons going on 4 years and love playing all the chords I knew and have begin doing some picking in songs!!!!
Such an amazing song. Oddly enough it’s about Lindsay and Stevie’s breakup. Quite a jab to each other to have to sing it together. Makes you hear the actual raw emotions in it
Hi Kevin - thanks for the lesson. I like the play-along at the end.. Easier to start by playing with you before attempting to play with the actual song. Having the guitar alone makes it much easier. Give Maggie May a big hug from us!
Great lesson! Here's what I know about Lindsey: He employs and exclusively uses an open tuning to facilitate an Fmaj7 chord to G progression. (Per his "Rumors" '77 producer / sound engineer Richard Dashut. The tuning is low to high. 1. Tune your guitar to and open Emaj7 chord voicing. EBEG#BD#. (Emaj 7 chord ( all open strings) Place a capo on the 1st fret. You are now in open Fmaj7 chord voicing. Strum the now capoed open strings in time with the actual recording. To play the next chord which is: (F/G maj7) (Fmaj7 with a G bass note.) in the modulation progression. Now place your left hand middle & ring fingers on the 2nd fret of the 6th & 5th strings. Strings 4 through 1 remain open.
Excellent teaching. Can you please do the intro to Hi Ren by Ren? And then maybe pick apart some of his solos? He is amazing and I think you and maybe a couple others can do him justice. 🎸🪘🐷🦍☮️⏰️
stumbled across this channel looking for some more guidance on a fleetwood mac song, now I'm hanging around for the Maggie May cameos. I love her! :)🐾🐾
@@Relaxandlearnguitar Thanks Kevin, I am trying to keep my mind busy. My husband is going to have open heart surgery at Loyola in Chicago. The guitar helps me with the stress. 💕💕

Hi Kevin, I was practicing last night Dreams and I like the combination of that strumming and picking, sounds good !
Hi Enrik! It is a great one to practice that with. You can use the strumming/picking technique in many songs!

😊 love it 😊 I was planning and I accidentally hit C major then I worked out the introduction to first cut is the deepest 😊
Nice!

Top song and great and easy lesson
Thanks!
Thanks Kevin for the lesson. Could you please tell me the fingering of the G7?
You are welcome. I fret the 6th string 3rd fret with my ring finger. Mute 5th with ring - open 4- open 3 - open 2 - index 1st on 1st fret.
