Christine, Dalmatians are really smart and easy to train as long as you use firm commands and keep them the same at all times ...... my girl was house trained by 10 weeks and only 2 accidents in the house, one was my fault as I thought she was just crying but it was an out cry .... and by 16 weeks had most of the basics down Pat too .... great dogs and would highly recommend them to anyone !!!

I love her, but my pittie is my good dog and my dal is my devil dog hoping 7 is the magic number she settles down more when they say they are high energy dogs they aren’t kidding. I don’t trust her with children she sweet and all but unpredictable. I’m sure there are some mellow dals out there mine isn’t one of them. She’s exhausting. We’re together til death do us part but she will be the only Dalmatian I’ll ever have. Though she’s beautiful.

His training is so easy to understand and he definitely knows what he's doing!!! Love how cute penny is.. and the purple collar/lead are ADORABLE! I love how every dog you meet has a 'style' that can be shown off just by using a colour! Purple is for sure Penny's colour! ❤️
I could just see Penny and my dal Perdita getting along together so well! They are both so much alike in terms of personality. I have noticed that the breed, whist very full of energy...also often posses a keen sense of just wanting to please their owners in all that they do. And they are very very smart! Every single morning when I get up and go outside to see Perdi, she gets on her bed and puts her paws around me in an embrace like nothing I have ever felt before. I did not teach her to do so-- I reckon she has observed me hug people and has worked out a way she can ''hug'' also. They are such a joy to have around and I just know that You both will cherish Penny with all your hearts.. because they are just the type of dog who love affection and attention ^^
I was a retired stay at home puppy mom ...the dalmatian puppy was 5 months old and about 35 pounds...it was like having a baby and toddler rolled into one. I was exhausted and stressed out. Thankfully her actual mom's owner found her a wonderful place with 6 acres and another dalmatian to play with. I was so relieved. Dalmatians are adorable, sweet and smart but you have to have everything to meet their needs, especially a fenced in yard to go out, i didn't and she grew way faster than i expected

She is so cute! I would really recommend using a harness for walking her as it takes pressure of her trachea. I use fleece lined harnesses they are really comfortable for the dog.

I joke that these dals are not dogs.....they are involved in every aspect of your life, they know you, your routines, your ups and when you are down.... most amazing animals. They become part of you, the family and are smart, athletic and loving beyond words. Very special breed that require very special fur baby parents.
Have you ever watched 101 Dalmatians with her? We watched it with our 10 month old dally pup the other day and she spent the whole time fully engrossed watching it with her ears pricked right up. It was the cutest!
I know dalmations are supposed to be slim but as a growing puppy she should be having three meals a day and. Being walked at least once now she is quite skinny so I would like to know why and also ditch the crate dogs don’t belong in crates trust me it’s easy just leave the crate open if a night and she will then start understanding that that is where she sleeps but now she will not like going into her crate as she is locked in

Dalmations are so so cute. my customer has one named Oreo. Oreo wont stop slobbering all over my face when I go there to work. In fact I cant work when he's around. When I take oreo for a walk, its as if he's taking me for a walk because he pulls me all over. Oreo is too strong and very muscular. I love him so much. Dalmations love attention but they're a handful

It gives her her own safe space as well as it helped so much to toilet train her. We don’t even lock it up at night, she just takes herself to bed and she uses it all the time to nap in during the day. She loves her crate 😊
Jaime LouLou I believe people put puppies in crates overnight because you can’t give them the supervision they need while you’re asleep. Instead of a crate my puppy stays in the guest bathroom where she has a bit more space
It's animal cruelty. No bathroom access. People who do this to their dogs are irresponsible idiots. At least they took the dog's collar off. That's the other stupid thing people do is keep a collar on that won't slip off (as it's supposed to barely be able to slide off past their ears) and they leave the collar on while they're at the house.

you crate train your dog to help them feel safe and comfortable in their own space. their crate is their space and theirs only. it helps to keep them calm and relaxed. it also helps to toilet train them as dogs generally won’t do their business where they sleep. crate training is an amazing training technique and can really help your puppy/dog. My 1.5 year old dog sleeps in her crate every night and she chooses her crate over any bed
My Shih Tzu is 9 months old and I have to keep her in a crate at night for her own safety. She chews on everything and has swallowed a few things but luckily they were small and she was able to pass it and it didnt cause any harm to her. I can’t imagine the damage she will do and what she will swallow while I’m asleep.
It amazes me how all of their quirks and actions are the same. She’s more like my second Dalmatian Harvey in her actions but you are so lucky to have a Dalmatian that smiles like my first one Bazil. How’s the hair situation going across the entire house? Haha
