Indeed, the clean vocalist, Tim, also plays the violin, and the harsh vocalist, Xen, writes the lyrics, does all the artwork and directed the video clip.
(And kudos to you for noticing the galloping sounds and horse references in the music!)
P.S. There are some professional live videos of them available, always choose those over pure album tracks, e.g. "And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope", "Devour me, Colossus", "Libera", "Intra Venus" and "Pyrrhic", although the video clip for "Intra Venus" is very cool as well.

The title of the song literally means "horse" in latin. Xen said the horse is to represent all the other species that were harmed or killed by fault of humans during 2019-2020's Australia wildfires.
The video really helps this song, not that it's bad, but the visuals are super striking. I like the clean/harsh vocalists back to back especially.

This might be the first track that managed to make me cry back to back 3 times. The ending is so amazing, you can tell the feelings conveyed by the strings alone and the cleans and growls are mixed so well. After hearing how the bass is mixed in NeO tracks, it's awkward going into other songs and hearing it so far back in the mix, anyway, hope you enjoy NeO's other tracks as well! I would recommend the whole Portal of I and Citadel albums, they are both amazing from start to finish.

This song is powerful and devastating, just like the evets it's based on. I love when art gives voice to those who suffer but can't speak (animals).
