This has been a staple of my Xmas viewing for many years; apart from short and crazy fun, i love various little details and references in it; i.e. the theme tune being from Cannibal Holocaust and the guy at 5:55 doing a 'The Burning homage'; and IDK, but I'm convinced he sampled Ewoks for the tree talk! :D

Mr. Eisner 👁 truly enjoyed this piece of Camp, Canadian, Coniferous, Carnage.
As a veteran gore whore it felt like a genre hybrid of Horror-Comedy that is extremely difficult to execute with competency and skill.
A Gremlins meets National Lampoon Family Christmas with bonus kitsch.
Wherever you are hopefully you can make a spiritual successor to this piece someday.
The commentary of the slavish devotion to ritualistic revelry and commercialism often at the expense of what is truly important is food for thought.
    MAZEL.
