It's not complaining, it's important. I'm always shocked how little we as women are told about the realities of pregnancy - like you said, it's usually motion sickness, getting a bump, and the miracle of life. No one talks about the constipation or the acne. So when women have scary things happen when they're pregnant, a lot of times they assume it's normal, like you assumed fainting was, when in reality that's a dangerous symptom. Talking (or "complaining") about the less photogenic aspects of pregnancy is important to keep everyone safe and healthy. Thanks for being so open and honest.

PLEASE contact your doctor and discuss something called POTS ( Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) I myself have pots and everything you’ve just spoke about is exactly what happens to me! Fainting, salt intake, low Blood pressure, etc! Pots doesn’t really show up on blood tests or ECGs, the way I was tested was with a simple test of sitting and standing there was no need for a tilt table test because my form of pots is a lot worse than others that tend to have it. Every time I would stand I’d faint or if I walked too much, I couldn’t sleep at all, constantly in and out of hospitals etc. I am now on medication to calm down the fainting. Pots can be triggered by many things really being pregnant could be one of the triggers. Mine occurred because my body was so run down after having glandular fever! Which caused so many more health issues.
POTS is never really spoken about especially from where I am anyway, a lot of doctors either didn’t know about it or they just got the diagnosis wrong for many people. There definitely needs to be more awareness for this condition.
Believe it or not this is the most simplified way I could write this without making it into a whole essay😂

    COLLEEN PLEASE READ:
I have had 3 babies.. my second pregnancy this exact thing happened to me at 21 weeks and from that day forward I was in EXCRUCIATING pain for the next 8 weeks. I am so sorry you're going through this. Bed rest girl... please go on bed rest. It is the ONLY thing that will help. This is a common thing! There is no pass or fail when it comes to pregnancy. Some bodies can tolerate it and some bodies cant. I had a pain free third pregnancy if that give you any hope. At 34 weeks start taking evening primrose oil capsules orally and vaginally (look it up.) Love you. You are carrying him like a champ that's all that matters. Stay strong, momma. ❤

Hey Colleen, the likelihood of you reading and/or seeing this is slim to none, but I hope you do. When my mom was pregnant with me, she was having the same conditions you are having now with your little cutie. She was passing out ALL the time also having low blood pressure. She did the same as you and went in for a stress test, EKG, etc. However, at the time they did not find anything. Fast forward to when I was 5, my mom was diagnosed with a heart condition. She underwent heart surgery and she is all fixed now. They tested me, they said I was fine. Unfortunately, five years later I was diagnosed with an Atrial Septal Defect with an Sinus Venosus and had to undergo open heart surgery asap. I guess my point to this comment is that the heart is tricky and extremely complicated. Don't have just one test done. If you can (and I don't know your medical history or anything), try to have multiple tests and echocardiograms done. I just mainly want you and your new family to be completely okay.
I hope everything gets better! Keep us updated when you can and when you feel like it. Take time for you and your family.

First of all it is NEVER okay for anyone to shame you for complaining about your pregnancy. I am a nurse and used to work on a Maternity floor and took care of pregnant women who had to spend months in the hospital prior to delivery because they were so sick. Pregnancy is a big deal, and what your going through is not normal, and it is okay to complain. Your body is going through hell just so you can create a new life. Be proud of what your body is doing because you are growing a tiny human. Second, before you know it this beautiful boy of yours will be in your arms and all these trials will be all worth it. You've got this! I will however keep you in my prayers for a much smoother and healthier pregnancy.

PLEASE READ THIS COLLEEN. I am in my twenties and I have 2 kids. The first one was an easy beautiful pregnancy the second one almost broke me emotionally and physically. What you have sounds a lot like SPD (symphisis pubis dysfunction). It hurts to walk, sit, stand, roll in bed, stand on one leg to get pants/shoes on. Do Not Let Your Doctor Tell You Its Nothing And You Can't Help It! I almost had to gets c section and wear a back brace to be able to walk post pregnancy. The chiropractor will feel your hips and pubis bone and try to realign you and girl the exercises they give you HURT but do them! There is so much advice I have for you I wish I could just call you omg. My 2nd pregnancy was exactly like this and worse.. Please take care of yourself and force your doctor to listen. So many pregnant women struggle with doctors writing off serious problems and saying you can't do anything. I love you get well! ( btw im on my fiancé account my names micaela loll)

    • @alexgardini8150
      @alexgardini8150 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Melissa Haile sorry to hear that! Mine started around 6 as just an irritation and within a few weeks I was on the grocery store floor sobbing that I couldn't take another step. I had been told several times by actual doctors that it was just a "normal part of pregnancy" and received no help. When I finally saw a PT he said it was so bad I needed to come in 3 times a week and sleep with a brace on. If we had caught it earlier on it wouldn't have gotten so severe but now im 6 months post partum and I still have to have appointments with my PT and there's a chance I might never walk the same as I used to. Its a very serious thing regardless how "common" it is. Im so glad you are doing well now, bless you!

I had a miscarriage in February, and I would have been due this month (I probably would have already given birth at this point). But watching these videos of Colleen’s pregnancy warms my heart. I’m so happy she gets to experience this, and it’s completely fine to be upset. It’s completely fine to be frustrated at the pain you’re in, or frustrated that things aren’t going to plan. I’m not upset that she’s pregnant and I’m not. I know she’s not saying these things to complain, she’s being real.
But Colleen, you’re doing amazing. You’re already so caring, nurturing, and maternal. This little boy will be so well cared for and loved. You deserve to take a break and let your body rest. You’re creating another life, and you have to put him first. I hope you stay well and rest.

Omg colleen please don't feel bad about anything. You have every right to talk and "complain" about the problems you have with pregnancy. It's hard! It's probably the hardest thing a woman ever has to do and no one talks about it. I'm so glad that you're brave enough to say these things because they're things that I never even considered. And it's nice to know that if something like that ever happens to me, I know I'm not the only one. Like how you said you feel guilty and sad cause you see everyone else having a great pregnancy and you're not... I wonder if you wouldn't feel that way if more people talked about it. You're strong. You've got this! Just try to remember that nothing is your fault. You're doing everything you can for that baby. Some people handle certain situations better than others, this is no different. It has nothing to do with your mind, just the way your body is reacting and that's okay. Stay strong girl

The saddest part of this is that she feels like she has to defend her pain and her honesty. Like, she has to put disclaimers on EVERYTHING! "I know I don't have it as bad as everyone," "I know not everyone has it like this," and "This is just me being honest." Like, haters, why can't she just behest and tell us about how she is doing without having to defend her being in pain to every douchebag with a keyboard. Colleen, I love you, and support you, and you don't have to defend your pain and what you're going through. Some of it is normal, some of it isn't, and I think it's so great and so commendable that you talk about this, it's so important! Like, people keep telling you to shut up because of women who have it worse or women who can't get pregnant. What they don't get is that there are soooooo many women for whom you are probably super important, because whether they have it a little bit better that you, but worse than the perfect pregnancy everyone talks about, or they have it worse than you, you're right: No one else tells this truth, and this truth is important!! You sharing your story, shows women everywhere that it's okay to not have a good and perfect pregnancy, and that it doesn't make them a failure (it doesn't make you one either, btw), and that it doesn't make them any less of a mother or a person, and doesn't diminish their love for their child. So, THANK YOU, Colleen, for defending these problems, so that dozens of women don't have to do it by themselves!!

Colleen, don’t you even DARE to feel bad about anything! This is your body, your baby and your life. Yes some women are sadly unlucky and aren’t able to get pregnant or deliver successfully but you’re in pain. This is your first baby and you are clearly in love with him but you’re also struggling. Your body hasn’t ever experienced anything like what it’s experiencing right now I mean GURL, YOURE GROWING A TINY HUMAN INSIDE OF YOU!! I had the fact you’re feeling so miserable during such a fascinating time but once he’s alive and breathing in the world and you can hold him in your arms, the pain and sickness and miserable feelings will completely disappear and you can spend the rest of your life without the pain and just being completely in love with your family. We love you Colleen, and we support everything you do, even if it is a video of you eating in and out at 3 am crying! Stay safe and look after yourself kween ❤️❤️

My first pregnancy was sooo smooth, no issues, i was induced and had an epidural, slept through a 25 hour labor and I had a beautiful almost 9 lb baby boy. My second pregnancy, it was so hard to eat I was constantly puking but always hungry, I lost ten lbs right away, headaches all the time my pelvis hurt and felt stretched always. I got induced, got an epidural that did not work, had a painful 8 hour labor and I had a small 7 lb baby girl. So every pregnancy is different EVEN IN THE SAME WOMAN

I agree, it’s a very hard thing to go thru. You are growing a human. In no way is it easy. Then there is labor , delivery and the healing after. It’s such a long process but then you have this amazing life in the end. But I hope Colleen does a lot of research and learns about everything that can happen during, before and after. Every pregnancy is so different. As much as they tell you to enjoy it, I always say do what you gotta do to get thru it and enjoy it after lol. I have low pressure too. I passed out during labor. Lovely lol

Hi Colleen! I’m an occupational therapist and just wanted to give you some advice that might be helpful. The recommendation to slow down during postural transitions is good. I usually recommend taking a break once transitioning from laying down to sitting at the edge of your bed. Please get a blood pressure cuff and check before you stand. Do some arm raises and slow leg kicks to get your blood flowing. Should bring your blood pressure up before you stand. With the pelvic pain and getting dressed I would follow these precautions: don’t bend more than 90 degrees to get dressed, don’t cross your legs, no internal rotation of your legs (don’t point them inward). It might sound silly but I would look into getting a dressing stick or reacher to get pants on without bending over/sock aid and long handled shoe horn might be helpful too. All available on amazon. Hope this is helpful for the rest of your pregnancy!

Women don't talk about how hard it is to be pregnant because people will try to make you feel guilty for not being ecstatic every moment of the process. The process hurts. You are completely sacrificing yourself to bring this little human into the world safely. It hurts because physically and mentally, you are being molded into a mommy. Your little man is shaping you into his mommy right now. You are gonna be a great mom honey. Just keep your chin up cause when you see him, I promise, all this pain will be just a memory.

I have no idea if you will ever even read this. But I have 3 kids and being pregnant was rough and painful. The BEST thing for the Pubic and tailbone and hip pain is sitting on a big yoga ball, and just roll your hips around. I stayed on that thing for months..and Very warm baths 😉 I always have low blood pressure too.. so i blacked out a lot. Dont panic after the baby is born and they get worried about the low blood pressure..(blood loss)😁 It will come back up. You don't have much longer!!! You can do it!👍 And before you know it you'll be doing it again😂 I hope it gets better for you... But I've been there and NEVER did really until the last month then I turn into a crazy mom on meth cleaning. Yay. Babies!lol

    • @ashleydavis4563

@@meganalaura6641 That sounds like low blood pressure issues. I was also anemic with my pregnancies and didn't have those symptoms but if it is severe it could cause dizziness and black outs. Everyone is different. I would check your blood pressure, if thats fine then maybe check your iron. You can always take a slow fe iron pill with or without anemia, it will only help the pregnancy. You can also take a prenatal with iron in it to help as well. Hope that helps!

I had three kids and hated being pregnant. It was miserable every single day. Pure misery. BUT totally worth it. Obviously, I did it three times! My body didn’t like being pregnant at all. Not liking being pregnant doesn’t mean you don’t love your baby. I struggled to get pregnant and still complained about being pregnant. For me it was a means to an end. Babies are miracles and we suffer and it’s worth it. It does end and I literally felt instantly better when my babies came out. And then postpartum recovery is rough but just get through this first. 😉 When you feel down and in pain close your eyes and imagine holding your baby and singing to him. He will be the most wonderful thing to ever happen to you. Ever.

Army medic - mom of 2... sounds like Syncopal episode due to low blood pressure - lean to to your left hip when you sit to improve systemic circulation. Moving to lay down when feeling faint will make it worse slowly rotate your hips so that your left side bears the brunt of your belly weight, practice “combat” breathing - people forget to breathe when faint. Most women get low BP when pregnant. Sloooowly move from sitting or laying to standing. Hyperemesis gravidarum along w an already low BP is going to make lose consciousness. You need to probably get saline IVs. (Youve probably gained so much weight due to being underweight prior).
To alleviate pelvic bone pain around mons pubis take a “sits” bath... aka a butt bath in really warm water or use heating pad *only* on the pubic bone. Don’t raise core temp. Raising core temp can be dangerous for baby.
Next, if you are on pill supplements you may not be absorbing them. Try child chewables- they have the same ingredients and are much more absorbable- compare % of pill per chewable to take quantifiable amount.
    Take care!!

Have you heard of POTS syndrome? My sister has it, basically her heart rate increases over 25 bpm whenever she stands up and fainting is very common as well. Not sure you have it but I think you can get it when you're going through a lot of stress or some kind of physical trauma(including pregnancy). My sister got it after her second pregnancy and she was having all kinds of stomach problems. Salt intake is important as well as drinking a lot of water!! I really hope you see this because none of her doctors even knew what POTS was and they all said everything looked normal even though my sister had no energy, and could barely stand up without feeling like she was going to faint.

Thank you xx

Hey girl! I’m not someone to comment on videos often, but I had my daughter in 2016 and I went through the almost the exact same thing I would puke 3-5 times a day for the first 5 months. And I would pass out often (once I was Christmas shopping and passed out & woke up to a random stranger holding my head) super awkward. I also have very low blood pressure. You’re not alone. I was miserable my whole almost 42 weeks of pregnancy, but I gave birth to a healthy beautiful baby girl and I’m considering doing it all again😂 everything will turn out just fine! Much love❤️❤️

This does sound like a low blood pressure problem, I've never been pregnant but this kind of fainting happens to me all the time without the puking. Like Colleen said, I don't black out completely (I'm aware and sometimes I can even answer people who are talking to me), but I can't hear properly/at all (depending on how strong it comes) or see anything (black fog). I have maybe 3 seconds beforehand when I know it's going to happen and it usually goes away in 1-2m. Also my legs give way and I end up falling on the floor, so my family and friends know when to grab me. During warm weather or if I haven't eaten in a while or if get up too fast, this happens, sometimes 10x in a day.

this sounds EXACTLY like Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) PLEASE look into it Colleen, it’s like a textbook case. And another condition that comes along with it a lot is called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which causes a lot of joint and ligament pain due to hypermobility. I’m so sorry you’re going through this, but you do have a community here to support you, and if you do have these conditions, people like us will be here for you.

I complained on the daily for the last 2 months of my pregnancy with my son because his head was literally resting IN the birth canal and I couldn't walk without practically doing the splits. It was NOT fun or beautiful! If people give you ish for complaining FUC-GETABOUT THEM! Pregnancy is NOT a daily Disney fairy tale. Hold strong girl...... you're almost there!

Pregnancy is dangerous and difficult, it's a misconception to believe that it's natural or easy. Maybe for some women, but for most it's a life-threatening event, and it's only thanks to modern medicine that women don't die that much anymore during pregnancy or childbirth. To every expectant mother: don't be afraid to talk about whatever is going on, don't be ashamed, don't feel like a failure. Every single person born yet was conceived through pregnancy and as a society we should be supporting all mothers.

Your videos have made a difference for me. I'm 7 months pregnant. I am so thankful that my body is reacting to the pregnancy well but my situation is a different story. I live in a room the size of shoe box, my job doesn't offer maternity leave and I'm struggling to get my licence back that I lost due to unpaid tickets that I can't afford. I'm terrified I will not be able to afford the things my baby needs. I have these thoughts everyday. They consume me, then I think of how the stress is affecting her and that stressed me out more. Your videos have not only been a stress relief for me but also that things are hard for everyone and we will all get through them because that what moms do. Thank you for sharing your story with us and I'm so sorry things have been so hard for you health wise but just keep telling yourself that you can get through it..thats what I do. Keeping yourself in a healthy mental state makes such a difference whenever you face a new problem. Whenever I get down I try meditating or telling my self this is just a moment in time.. it's not forever... You can do it 💕 so just keep telling yourself you can do it, you are strong. God gives us what he thinks we can handle 💕 so just like I can get through my hard time so can you 💕 also it's ok to take breaks and it's ok to cry and it's ok to complain, don't let people tell you it's not.

I am SO EXTREMELY thankful to you for talking about your experience with pelvic pain. I feel like I’m exaggerating or like a wimp because I’m in so much pain in my hips and pelvic bone... I just talked to one of the doctors (at my office they cycle through them all so you can meet them all before delivery), who happened to be a man, about the extreme pain I was feeling. He said it was most likely due to my posture.... I felt so overlooked and dismissed, especially because I was asking for tips on how to relieve or work with the pain, and it seemed like he was belittling my pain. Like you, it hurts to do almost anything. I’m only 21 weeks and sometimes I get used to the pain, and other times I can’t go up and down the stairs...
Thank you so much for sharing all of these vlogs for us to go through, but also for me to remember that I’m not alone, I’m not being a baby, and my pain is valid. I appreciate you SO FREAKING MUCH.

PLEASE READ THIS COMMENT!!! I have something called POTS and it can happen during pregnancy. I developed it due to another condition I have, but many women experience it while pregnant. I actually have videos on my channel about it if you're interested but thats not the point. I go through this every single day and have for 4 years. It is incredibly draining and I'm so sorry you have to go through this too. Not saying you have POTS but either way the experience and symptoms are the same. Maybe look into Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS). I have this, and while I’ve never been pregnant I know it can cause a whole slew of things with pregnancy and life in general. Basically it’s a connective tissue disorder where your body doesn’t hold itself together properly. Which could maybe explain your pelvic bone issue. Also many people who have EDS also have postural orthostatic tachycardia (POTS) which could maybe explain the fainting. Women with EDS can also experience more severe symptoms during pregnancy than other women. There are many different types of EDS, and it actually pretty common and extremely under diagnosed because many people, Including doctors, don’t know what it is. I know it sounds scary but it’s actually not too bad. (For me anyway) I don’t know if this is what you have but it might be worth looking into. Please like so she can see!

I know you will probably never see this, but it's worth a shot if for some reason it can help... At six months, you should definitely not be having these issues. I have a LOT of medical problems and this sounds exactly like a condition I have. It's called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). POTS is a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system, and it causes symptoms such as syncope (fainting), pre-syncope (near fainting), tachycardia (fast heartbeat), shaking, adrenaline dysfunction, slow motility (constipation), nausea, and very low blood pressure.
The issue with POTS is that so many doctors either don't know what it is or aren't educated about it. That is why people like me are trying to get awareness out there! Even if you haven't had these symptoms before getting pregnant that doesn't mean you don't have it. Either you had it with mild symptoms before, or the pregnancy triggered it. Which would make sense since pregnancy is completely changing your body! That could totally cause your autonomic nervous system to go out of whack.
There are some tests you can do at home to see if there is any chance you could have it, like the poor man's tilt table test. Even if you don't have it, there are some things that can help.. I use compression leggings, and they are very helpful for pre-syncope and fainting. Obviously, they would be very difficult to wear at 6 months pregnant! I have also tried compression socks, and they work just as good. Also, you should try taking salt pills. I use a brand called salt stick- they are good on the stomach. If this continues you can even ask your doctor about at home saline IV therapy. I get it once a week. Fainting everyday would definitely signify you need some sort of treatment.
I really hope you feel better soon! It makes me so sad to hear you aren't doing well. But I know any mother would take the pain so they could see their child. You are so hardworking and strong, and your son will be beyond lucky to have you as a mother. Sending prayers and so much love your way

Risa The Alien Queen Pregnant women experience these symptoms, by not usually at 6 months. And this is very severe, so it isn’t normal. But yeah, laying on your side can help if it’s a pregnancy issue. But this doesn’t seem to be- this seems like something bigger.

@@maddygrace3169 I was just thinking the same thing. I do not have POTS but my friend does. These symptoms remind me of what she went through before her diagnosis which took a very long time. Colleen it may not be this at all but it's worth mentioning to your Doctor. BTW my friend who has POTS just had a very healthy baby girl about 6 months ago. 🙂 I sure hope you feel better...please don't feel like you need to apologize to your fans. They love you, I can tell and would want you to take care of yourself and your baby in whatever way you need to. Sending you warm mama vibes. 🙂

Maddy Grace omg! My best friend has POTS! I was just thinking about this exact thing. I was wondering if that was something she could have. I know pregnant women can get things and then they go away.

I wish she could cancel her shows to, but if you listen to her she said there is no way that can be done there is probably a contract by the way she was talking and contracts hold you to them or you pay the price. So we the Fan,s needs to pray for her morning and night that this keeps going away she said for 2 days now she has not thrown up or fainted.

Carol Deaton It’s not in a contract. It’s who she is as a person. She refuses to cancel a show because she haaaaates letting her fans down.

Have you ever heard of POTS? I have that, and all these symptoms are what happen EXACTLY to me.
Please get this comment liked so she can see, because it could help her a lot to look into this.

Bethany Minar I thought this omg! Okay so this is SO random, but I’m having chest pains, pre-syncope, shortness of breath, standing for too long I faint, sitting for too long I faint, constant dizziness, blurry vision, headaches & So much more !!! & one doctor told me ‘maybe it’s POTS’ I know what this is as I have a friend with it! But then two doctors want to test for epilepsy! I’m convinced it’s POTS though, from the symptoms do I sound like you before you was diagnosed?? X

6 months pregnant as well with a little boy right now! I suffer from scoliosis, a severe case that had me in the hospital for 8 hours because I couldn’t walk or stand up without pain. Basically I have muscle spasms in my back, hips, butt and down my legs. Sometimes pregnancy is rough and you NEED to complain about it. Of course it’s worth it, but it’s HARD and people need to understand that. I’ve also had an episode like that when I got out of the shower, couldn’t see or hear and my arms and legs were numb! I was told that it’s because of your blood pressure being low, mixed in with anxiety. For pelvic pain, I would suggest not going to a chiropractor, but to go to physical therapy. It’s helps me a lot, they massage your hips and sides, as well as give you little exercises to do such as slow squats and they help a ton!!

Thank you for doing this video and being honest. I’m in my first trimester and I haven’t been able to function at all for 3 weeks now due to sickness and nausea. Feeling like I’m doing a bad a job and feeling so alone but your video makes me feel so much better.
