Wow have we set the Goals high for this year and it’s great to see you accomplishing them! A huge Goal of mine is to create more content also and to be involved more in the local aquarium & LFS community, they have been struggling due to the pandemic and we have seen the prices sore as a result of it. However I feel more businesses and future reefers can enjoy the information brought here throughout the TH-cam community! Bens tanks look great also! Can’t wait to see the future of this channel!

I feel you on supporting the lfs. I send my lfs the trimmings from the plants in my freshwater tank and they too sell like hot cakes.
Thank you!! It's interesting (and I'm not sure it's the case across the board) to see some pretty good sales at LFS's around the country. Here in STL I know some of the owners have seen a lot of gain during the pandemic. More people at home, want to enjoy a new hobby...etc. That, paired with stimulus money for some has benefitted the small stores which is great! I appreciate the support and your support for the LFS community!

Starting a prostar 200 here in the near future. Tank stand sump return pump and sand in the garage already. Still need rocks and lights. Getting the living room prepared, hopefully should be wet here in the next month. Love the videos man keep up the good work!

Yeah I have seen them clean the rock before but seeing the deed was somesthing special. Just listen to reefbum's talk with coral magazine and had some good breeding tips!

I would so love to have a sunburst anemone in my tank but not looking to pay the 2 grand most are looking for, as I have 2 rainbow nems and a black widow. His setup is amazing.
2 grand on them is long long gone. If people are asking that I can't imagine them still getting in.. On average see them for 600 -1000 depending on size.
It's pretty regional too. In the midwest...being so close to Tank It Easy they are a little more plentiful.
@@BahamaLlamaCoral here in new york state most shops don't have any sunburst and the one's that do are asking 2 grand. The black widow nem even though it's becoming a regular some people are still asking a few hundred for, I got lucky and paid 60 for mine.
If there not laying eggs just full up the tank with baby brine shrimp like a lot !

How do you recommend getting started in the breeding side of the reef industry?
Personally im drawn to anemone and clown fish nothing against the more traditional coral tho
I guess it depends on how deep in the hobby you are currently AND how fast you want to move. You can buy proven pairs of clownfish. It might take them awhile to settle in your tank but it'll happen. The clown breeding will take way more time and effort. Nems could be as easy as finding them, propagating (preferably this happens naturally), and selling the babies.
What happened to Bens Nems? The website is down and I can’t find anything new posted to social media since late 2021.

Yeah, it definitely is a bit. It's acrylic and a LFS find so it might need a brace.

I think they are worth buying for sure. I am not using them currently but I won't sell them .

Quick question, so it’s not true you can’t keep different anemones in the same tank? Because he has a bunch of different anemones together and all look super healthy.
Great question. So yes you are correct when people say you shouldn't keep certain nems together. Mainly wilds vs aquacultured. They have been known to have chemical warfare with each resulting in one or more melting away. The nems I have mixed together have all been aquacultured locally or in house.
Lastly running carbon is said to help any issues. I run big carbon reactors.
Ben is right when it comes to keeping anemones of different cultures. Wilds don't always fair to well in captivity versus aquacultured anemones, as wilds have a higher mortality rate than an aquacultured anemone. One thing to look at when purchasing an anemone from a lfs is the mouth,if it's gapping and shriveled looking don't buy it as it's not healthy. Another thing to look at if possible is the foot if it appears torn it's not worth buying.

Look into salinity and nems. I've heard 1.020 is a number nem people shoot for. Again, do your research but that might help.

The stand holding the stacked tanks is incredibly weak.

It has steal 90 brackets that are 1/4 thick Underneath in all corners. Also should of said I still need to anchor it to the wall .
@@bensnems4019 even so, your hardware is being placed in single shear which is strong enough, but adding a 2x4 between the shelves would put your safety factor from 2 to 4-5.
