This is awesome, I just subscribed. New fan coming in hot. I have a breeding pair of long fins but have not successfully raised or even tried yet. I would love to know more details on this process
these are my favourite fishes, but in this factory they have nothing from nature at all.... no plants, no corals and anemonies.... they should have better environment.... i fell sorry for them....
They’re growing on babies to sell en masse, imagine how much maintenance that many pooping clownfish need. That would be so much more work in furnished tanks. In order to make this both profitable, and efficient and doable they have to do it this way. And if big facilities didn’t breed, the supply of aquacultured clownfish in the hobby would be sporadic and prone to crashing, which puts burden on wild capture which then depletes the reef. I do think the adult breeding pairs deserve better furnished tanks, but for the babies, they’re only there temporarily. It’s the same with many varieties of fish when it comes to commercial breeders.

Information is the key to succeed, my problem I no have all that food if my clowns decide to play the babies will be a good for the rest of the fish.😢
It’s not information
The amount of craft time and money invested over the years are the key
