OMG thank you for this, i just learned so much. and now i have 20+ tab open from all the stuff i googled. I definitely have interoception problems and I strongly suspect Alexithymia. I will try and implement strategies to regulate myself.
But sometimes the same system has a hypo responsive and hyper responsive aspect within the same one. I’m so sensitive to anything/anyone near my body hyper- (proprioception/somatic) but then I regularly whack into things not sensing where they are in space relative to me (proprioception/vestibular). Hoping this gets explained- just a few minutes in - didn’t want to lose the thought - surprised this is a thing w only adhd (I’m audhd) didn’t realize the sensory stuff applies there as well. Great content thx subscribing now…
What curriculum teaches you to control your sensory systems? I did DNRS brain rewiring for 2 years- it shifted the pile on limbic reaction to sensory overload but it didn’t ultimately change the degree of sensitivity- which gets worse as I age. I recognize that I’ve gone too long wo eating because I get nauseous or i see the clock.
I continue to be amazed at how positive and useful this channel is. I'm sending this to people.
Wow, thank you!
This is such a holistic episode.

Thank you for this! Curious how you handle proprioception needs with chronic pain (like fibromyalgia)?
Thank you so much!!
You're welcome!
