Very pleasant. The spirit of the choir of BWV 140 is preserved. No fancy notes, no showing off, just the real notes.
Gert, Many of us know these pieces very well indeed - what is great about your videos is not only do we hear them being played exceptionally well, but we can see it being done, which increases the wonder of those of us non-players to see the skill needed to execute it so well. Thank you!
Another superb example supporting fact that there is a simplicity beyond complexity.

Schübler chorale prelude No. 1 Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme is my favourite of the five Schübler chorale preludes. Much more difficult that it appears to the casual viewer, it is definitely worth the work you have put into it over the past nine years. Thank you.
Any time it's a trio by Bach, it's a lot more difficult than it looks.

Commendable technique and exquisite interpretation. So faraway the days when a young boy started exploring a keyboard in his bedroom, and became one of the first organ TH-camr.

Lovely crisp, clear playing Gert. The audio technology on your previous two uploads of this piece (2010 & 2014) didn't do it justice. This one does, and it's now my standard reference.

Well played Gert. Of course I miss the camaraderie between you and Jan. Too bad Dutch organs don't electrify and install computer capture systems, just leaving the keyboard and pedalboard transmission tracker. You could then practice by yourself.
