I always feel better about inexpensive components that offer good or exceptional performance, as opposed to very expensive, luxury components that perform well but may be upstaged or equaled by an reasonably priced substitute. Thus, I really like how you seek out and find exceptional, sanely priced components.

      Indeed
Besides, in the short time it was up ... the quite telling response video insisted "litigation" simply meant discussion.
Plus "these guys don't know what they're doing, and shouldn't be measuring loudspeakers, ... they should be on a boat somewhere"
"I'm losing sales because of this"
"Do you know how many awards I've received?

Morel is telling us what audio SHOULD cost in this age of automated design and manufacturing we are in. I have used their drivers as well and they always punch above their price point and one can expect long term service from their products. I always considered their drivers to be professional quality.

I was at axpina and was blown away with this speaker when they played demo tracks. It wasn't until I played more familiar tracks with less bass that these speakers suddenly played much closer to their price point, so to speak. I would love your thoughts on how a speaker that looks this good on paper would fail to sounds as good/refined as something more expensive.

I am struck by the similarity in the data to the Polk R500 you measured and reviewed. The radiation on that speaker is slightly narrower on the Polk, and the slope down from the bass through the treble is slightly steeper on the Polk as well, so they are slightly warmer. But the general frequency response, dispersion and compression characteristics are remarkably similar. I've got the step-up R600 model from Polk and like them quite a bit.

About 18:24 I have to mention that morel is an adult brand that will not blame for something that they already know with them's measurement equipment (because they have equipment and they measure ) and will never steer up because them company's backwall is down close by an hi-end watt-puppy builder. (With of course a bad owner that his name pollutes one of the ancient greek best names.... )

f3 is where the spl is down 3dB. f10 is -10dB. Relative to the mean spl. I have a series of videos describing the measurements here: th-cam.com/play/PLnIxFR_ey0b37Ex4KV2mBz-kYB7QLffR1.html

Impressive looking I would like to hear the knuckle test to see how live the box is…also curious if it uses cheap crossover parts…willing to bet uncle Danny could take this speaker to the next level.

Was thinking very similarly, though it may be at an additional cost of $750 - $1150 to “really take them to the next level”. 🤔

@@GoggleAX the response is nice so i imagine a couple sheets of no-rez and better crossover parts quality…but not quantity

I’m sending mine immediately to Danny of GR Research to up grade my crossover to the max and add NoRes. I’m not even going to listen to them.😂

Thank you for an excellent review. I always find your analysis with a focus on the Physics. I have a (BS) degree in physics and taught physics for years. It's refreshing to listen to your reviews. I also like you sense of homer. Chuck

I have been curious about that Solstice you brought up. A are the drivers in that kit amply justifying the cost of a single tower kit ? I was a bit sticker shocked by it.

Look up the price of the speaker components individually. With the solstice kit, you get a lot for what you pay for.

Hi, thanks for all your great reviews not too far into this one you mentioned that the speakers were the same ones you heard at the show I question that might be these are handpick drivers that will have a lower distortion speciations.
    Any thoughts?
    Mike
