I own (largely) every top-end dive marque going but recently took the tour at Bremont. And I have to say that I was very impressed at what I saw. They are a very nice bunch of people and are also hugely enthusiastic and passionate about what they do. The finish on their pieces is absolutely first class and needs to be seen to be appreciated. What's more, they also have quite an 'individuality' factor.
I've not heard the "brand ambassador" argument before - and I agree. I have both the Bremont MBII and the Supermarine S301. I like the GMT version. Good vid. Keep at it!
Hi, really liked your no nonsense and real life review on the S302 so much so that you made my mind up on purchasing one ,which I have! Truly a lovely watch. Was going to ask you about the slight scuff you accidentally inflicted on the bezel of your watch and did you manage to get it removed and if so how was it removed? Many thanks, Mark
Hi Martyn, I think you’re the first person I’ve found who has one too! Glad to hear you love it too. I wear it every day and I’m still not tired of it! Glad you went leather strap, I think it’s the way to go. I have the light beige strap for it too, so stiff but looks great. Having gone to Bremont Townhouse a few weeks ago I believe we might see some upgrades on the bracelet soon 🤞🏼 they certainly know about the issues.
I need a dive watch that I can beat the absolute piss out of and this the one! I was looking at Ulysse Nardin, Doxa, and Breitling until I found this. Instantly fell in love.
Nice review. I am looking at the S302 or the BB58 for my 50th next year. Im with you, the fact it says 'London' on there means a lot, but there is a lot to consider.
Hi Carlos sorry I totally missed your comment! I think you’ve got a great predicament there to solve 😂 They are both brilliant watches but in very different ways. I have both of them sat next to each other in the watch box. If you want a complication and like to travel get the S302. If you like better residuals, heritage and wearability go with the BB58. Since getting the BB58 Bronze the S302 definitely doesn’t get as much wrist time. Let me know which side you end up on, I’m sure you’ll love it whichever you choose
Really cool watch! You rarely find such a robust watch with GMT complication in a 40mm case. But I wonder why the ceramic bezel seems to be so prone to scratches. Have you found a way to remove them?
Great video. I got one them and I am loving it. I got it with a leather band and a deployment clasp. The thick leather with the deployment clasp seemed bulky at first but then the leather had softened. I am actually waiting for an order on the steel bracelet to ship, and with your feedback, I’m having second thoughts. The screws are commonly held in place by a threadlock. Did you apply some heat with a torch before turning the screws?
Thanks John! Very kind of you. Yes the Ball ones are really interesting, I feel like if I bought any Ball watch I’d constantly sit in the dark admiring the lume. C Ward is a brand that really interests me. They’ve got some beautiful watches and they’re local. I just can’t get comfortable with the logos, I realise that sounds a really pathetic reason but it’s just never worked for me. That said the limited edition they have just done with Scottish watches almost made me part with my money… then I walked into Tudor and spent all my money 🤦🏼♂️
A British watch company owned by the English brothers, sounds too good to be true for lovers of home grown products. So the watch has London on the dial, and whereabouts in the city of your birth would that be? Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, that's where in London.
A very fair point! Well I was born in London and live in Oxfordshire so it’s a pretty good match for me 😉 What is interesting is finding out it’s not wholly owned by the brother English (they no longer have a controlling share) so not sure if technically it’s British owned anymore. I will say having being to Townhouse a couple of weeks ago they’ve got some great people there and were transparent beyond what was necessary. They’ll always be a controversial brand but they’re definitely interesting and they do finish a case pretty nicely
@@NiceKettle I often drive pass the 'Wing' (Bremont Tech Centre) just outside Henley. When I do, I keep saying to myself, I should book up a tour of their facility and also have a squint at their museum. I've got one of their ALT1-C chronographs, and as you say, the case is bullet proof.
@@Rog5446 If you own a Bremont Rog, you absolutely must do the tour. It will give you an even better idea into what went into making your watch. Real nice people and a great ethos at Bremont. I'll almost certainly pick one up at some point...

Have the same watch on a Bremont leather strap- love it. Superb size, robustness abs aesthetics!

Re: tight screws: send the bracelet back to Bremont for service. I sent mine back for refinishing and it was great.
Bremont has launched their first manufacture movement series, the ENG300, in 2021

Excellent review buddy.

If i didnt already have an OG bb58 i would defo consider this piece!
Curious how the long term ownership has been... Currently considering one myself
I wonder if a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser would work on that bezel (if you’re brave enough).

Nice vid & watch, very tempting. Ball have a 40mm GMT diver, C Ward a 42mm

I love the watch with a caveat: Why can’t Bremont make a Bremont S302 in 37 or 38mm version?
Tudor blackbay?
you can say goodbye to 🏴 in house movement now with brand rebranding
