Imagine a tourist needing to get onto the victoria line and just missing the train thinking they'll have to wait at least 5 minutes, but within a minute you can already hear or even see the next train
This shocked me and my girlfriend on our first time on the tube. We've done trains a lot but first time in the underground and when we saw our train leaving we thought we'd have to wait 15 mins maybe longer. (I actually thought maybe an hour, I was that uneducated on how the tube worked). We noticed the board as another train was entering and it said Next train 1m,in Train after 2min, Train after 2min, Train after 3min, Damn
With 8 cars and 36 Trains per hour, you’d expect that these trains would be able to not be crowded. But they are, so they must be carrying an incredible amount of people!
The Victoria Line has more trains than platforms! But it was built on the cheap so things like extending platforms for longer trains isn't possible. I always find that the Victoria Line departure boards are about a minute out. E.g. If the board says the next train is in 1 minute...typically it is 2 minutes.
The dreadful noise that London tube trains make is unjustifiable. Electric motors, train brakes and train doors can all be made to operate silently. Listen to a Tesla motor, for example. Worse still is the rail noise (like at 0:34) caused by badly maintained rails. But Londoners do not get together to pressure the operators of the underground to stop this dreadful noise pollution. TfLs holiday for neglect of its customer's well-being must be brought to an end. Everyone must pressure TfL to bring down the noise level.

Yup haha
Cool thing is that you can see the next train waiting behind for the other to go
True. It’s just some of the passengers that are the problem 🤮😷💩
@@pdsilva5699 Only at peak times though.
İn Germany i wait 1 full hour and this does not even feels long for me anymore🗿

Considering it goes through 4 major terminals Kings Cross, St Pancras, Euston and Victoria I’m not that surprised
Crazy how the trains are equally as packed
I can only dream this frequency in Malaysia.
Great video!
Trains look nicer than the ones in NY.

I love this train
Great video. ☺️
This is a normal frequency in the metro of my city. Sometimes the gap between train movements is even smaller
Really? Which city is that?
@@LenH_Transport Moscow
@@Любадрель-у9з alright, never been to Moscow or really seen any vids of it so didnt know, might check some vids out!
What is the time in between train departures? Not in between when train leaves and then you see the next train.
@@beef0n About 1 minute
I made it 28 seconds between the first train going out of sight and the next train coming into view.
Thanks for 4200 views! Never thought it'll be this popular!
