- At NBC's Commander-in-Chief Forum, Matt Lauer questions Hillary Clinton more on her emails than military strategy and lets Donald Trump's misinformation go unchallenged.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs weeknights at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
Without arguing whether it was reckless or not, I WANT to hear how Clinton stands on a stack of important issues, so there's a setting where we don't need to hear about the freaking emails. This was suppose to be one!
And that's exactly what Fox News _doesn't_ want. Her stances on the important issues are more closely aligned with the American People than Trumps, by a large margin, even factoring in Trump's flip-flopping on issues to more closely align with that of the people in recent months. They don't want people to know her stances on the issues, because that would make her look _good_. Instead, they focus on the one thing they've found which is definitely true which makes her look the least bit bad. Simple propaganda.
Don't worry. They won't be able to do this sort of bullshit during the debates. We already know what Trump's going to do - he'll talk shit, try to point out the email scandal as a way to distract from any questions he's given. Hillary will be ready for this, and will most definitely talk about the facts and what the American people really need focus on.

He's definitely "new money", but the "old money" doesn't even consider the kind of wealth he has to qualify him as a rich man! His money is all tied up in real estate and the like. He has basically no liquid assets, in comparison to these juggernauts of the elite.

I'm not against Bernie but there was no way for him to win. The moment he started saying things like "free college for all" it was over. Of course the Democratic Party plotted against him. People acted shocked about it when it came out. That's not shocking, that's the way America works. There was no way that man was going to be President those with the power and control would never let it happen. I'm not defending their actions I'm just saying that's the world we live in.
If the primaries didn't require people to register way in advance a lot of the registered independents might have voted for him earlier on and he would have had a chance. Problem was a lot of people didn't register early enough to vote for him because they didn't know about him.
Have Trump supporters ever found a legitimate reason to support their vote of him besides "he speaks his mind," "he's not Hillary," "he's gonna solve our immigration crisis," or "he'll make America great again?"

If any of these interviewers continue to let Trump or Hillary blatantly lie then whats the point in watching? it is an interviewers job to pick the person up on this, if they don't they are doing a grave mis-service to their viewers, as many of them will walk away believing these outrageous lies.

To be fair, when Matt Lauer asked Trump what his plan was to defeat ISIS, and Trump's answer was pure double-talk nonsense, he actually did call him on that. His answer was so stupid, that there was really no way he could let that go. I don't know why they didn't show that part here.
So yeah, he fucked up the Clinton part, but he didn't let Trump walk all over him quite as badly as this segment suggests.
They can't cover every insane statement Trump makes, there are too many. The ones that really should frighten people was the one about taking the oil. Or sinking ships of Iran. Or bombing North Korea. We have avoided nuclear war for 70 years. We have been lucky. If it happens, it won't be a matter of someone waking up one morning starting a nuclear war. It will be some bumbling half insane fool making rash decisions that set of some loose canon somewhere, where things spiral out of control. I don't think the guy is putting on an act, I think he is what he says he is, and we will all be in mortal danger should he get the power of the presidency.

Lauer couldn't have been more biased if he tried... He knew Hillary would have powerful responses to the actually important questions, like the one asked by that vet, and wanted to make sure there was as little time as possible for her to convey her stance effectively. Bias has NO place in an event as important as this, get him out. The man has no right to dictate how candidates are allowed to state their proposed policies.

I'll go so far as to agree that blaming the media as a partisan strategy is never a good plan, but Lauer's performance wasn't good. Trump was spewing a lot of nonsensical things that got no follow-up, and his questions to both were just not good questions.
Idk if I'm the first to point this out, hopefully not, but it honestly looked like Matt was being the bully reporter when dealing with Clinton and when it came to Trump he was scared. Like he was totally doing the "why you hitting yourself" technique with Clinton, then was just scared of what might happen if he were to call Trump out on his bullshit.
