This is so inspiring. I love the takeaways! Yes, we can google anything, reverse engineering leads to mastery, and... impostor syndrome is real! Hehehe.. Thank you very much for sharing your story.
I'm in LOVE with her running/dancing animations. 😄 Learning to code now, with what I understand is the more common pathway (HTML to CSS to JS to React) at age 27. Been in customer service for years and not with a certificate in video game simulation and design. Been deferring my passions for a lot of reasons- anxiety, relationships, fear of leaving my comfort zone- but I'm changing that for myself. I want to learn, every day, and change my brain into that of a developer's. You inspired me to keep going. Thank you for sharing, and know you're still inspiring people, today, to be more.
@Stephen Willis Thanks! I just started CSS so have a long way to go. I keep seeing many say JavaScript is confusing and difficult...not looking forward to that when I get to learning it, lol. All the best to you too!
You’re never too young or too old to learn, especially if it’s something you’re passionate about. I’m in my early 50’s and learning to code. I love it. Awesome video.
Wow, that awesome animation! I really can relate to your final take aways. After quitting my job as an elementary teacher, I'm about to study again in a thing called "dual-study" (not sure if this is a thing outside of Germany) were I'm part time doing my bachelor degree and part time working for a company, getting work experience (and getting paid a bit). Taking longer for tasks is completely normal and nobody knows everything (something everyone expected otherwise in my previous job). I can't speak for others, but my boss is very understanding in that matter but also drives me to find out things myself instead of asking, even if it takes 3 times longer. After 3 years in I think I'm out of the valley of despair, learning new techniques really fast. People said I can't start out with programming that late, (I'm 28 now), but at my campus, there's almost half of the people my age or older that changed field like me. That really boosted my confidence.
I loved your video! Definitely inspires me to keep going! I am 28 and learning to code. Knowing that you did it at this age also boosted my confidence in knowing that I can also get a webdev job. Thank you!
this video put me to ease, I've been so anxious bcs I'm at the 2nd year of programming and at 19 years old I feel like I've barely learned anything on online classes. This vid made me realize I'm not too far back. Thank you!
@@TheCoderCoder I like that you included that there. That's a lot of motivation for the rest of us to push ourselves, especially since we are starting at the same age and it feels quite late compared to the traditional route!

my dream job is to be a professional web developer. honestly, i’ve only just started, but you’ve already helped me more than anything else, and i am truly, truly grateful for that!!
This is so inspiring. I graduated as Materials engineer and worked in a company as a CAD engineer/designer for 4 years before I finally decide to try my shot with coding. I'm going to watch this every time I'm doubting myself for choosing this career path.
Thank you for this, I'm having a hard time in college with web development, and you gave me hope not to give up. Imposter syndrome is real, I struggle with it everyday.
I used to love making HTML pages as a kid too. After I graduated high school I couldn't major in computer science because I didn't have the required GPA, instead, I did engineering which is a field that's close to CS. Now that I finished 5 years of university and went through this year's circumstances, I just feel like I have to do something that I really love, I wouldn't say that I didn't like everything I did in university but I was just not happy... Now I find myself self-learning web development and I plan to do a master's degree abroad in computer science. Thank you for this video it was so inspiring and I wish everybody to find their passion and be happy in life. Peace.
Thank you. As a young lady who’s currently lost on what to do in my life, I was very much inspired to go for it and pursue my interest in programming, despite having no educational background in it. I aspire to be a woman like you, so really thank you :)
OMG you’re such motivating and inspiring! I get so stressed when people all learning CS in this field, but me learning architecture and has some skill in art
This video has helped allievate a lot of stress I’ve been enduring trying to get into the tech field, thank you! Also I loved the pixel art style you made!
I got a degree in 'multimedia & web design' which mostly centered around the visual aspect of the web (and flash, before Adobe acquired Macromedia). We had intro courses in things like databases, and scripting (in ColdFusion). But I had to really put in some effort to teach myself enough programming to get salaried positions (almost everyone on the east coast only hired designers on contracts at the time). It's been an interesting journey, though; sometimes, I worry that my lack of theory-level coding classes is a hindrance. But other times, I know my background in building things for muggles to use makes me an asset unlike many developers.
first of all, great video!! i just passed the imposter syndrome phase and i'm gaining some confidence in work i hope to become like you one day your story is an inspiration for me :)

i just found your channel the other night and i’m so inspired by you, me being 31 and unsure if it’s the right thing to get into. your animations are TOP TIER. my favorite kind of art. thank you so much!!!
I just started learning to code this year, and belive me when i say "this gave me hope" i mean it
You are so cool!! I'm 24 and I'm starting to build websites
I'm inspired. Thank you for this
I love these stories. So happy for you and your current place within the coding community. Awesome content. See you soon!
This is so inspiring. I love the takeaways! Yes, we can google anything, reverse engineering leads to mastery, and... impostor syndrome is real! Hehehe.. Thank you very much for sharing your story.
Awesome video . U just encouraged me and many other people to not be scared of things we don't know but to fight it and work hard to know it .
Really love this animated Super Mario Brothers-like video! I've just started learning to code in my 30s. Thanks for the encouragement to keep going.
Glad you liked it! Best of luck as you learn to code!!
@Stephen Willis Thanks! I just started CSS so have a long way to go. I keep seeing many say JavaScript is confusing and difficult...not looking forward to that when I get to learning it, lol. All the best to you too!
This is so cute! I’m a huge retro gamer. I can relate to this story.
Sweet!! Glad you enjoyed the story and the visuals :D
lets gooooooooo!!!!!
thanks mate for refilling my fuel !!!!
woohoo!!!
Wow! I thought you were in your mid-twenties! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for watching! Yep, mid-twenties was a while ago lol
I loved your video! Definitely inspires me to keep going! I am 28 and learning to code. Knowing that you did it at this age also boosted my confidence in knowing that I can also get a webdev job. Thank you!
Yes! You can do it! 28 is most definitely not too old!
@@TheCoderCoderwhat do you mean by " not too old ". 😢😢
@@sumeetrox2479 lmaoo , it's never late to learn 😂
How to learn to code?
Google: Yes
This is hands down One of the best videos I have seen on TH-cam. Thank you.
this video put me to ease, I've been so anxious bcs I'm at the 2nd year of programming and at 19 years old I feel like I've barely learned anything on online classes. This vid made me realize I'm not too far back. Thank you!
"and earning a 6 figure salary" DAMN MOMMY!
ahahaha
Luv u obito
@Innocent that's the average annual salary for a senior developer in the USA
@@TheCoderCoder I like that you included that there. That's a lot of motivation for the rest of us to push ourselves, especially since we are starting at the same age and it feels quite late compared to the traditional route!
I'll be 31 on Monday and I'm just starting to get into computer/programming/coding. Here's to hoping. Thanks for being an inspiration, and your animations are baller!
Idk why but this video just gave me a big Ole smile, from your attitude and the little animations.
I'm gonna try an learn code. I hate being stuck and lost with what I wanna do, and this seems like it's my time so grind. Hopefully I'll be able to make a Similar video in years time!
Wish me luck.
my dream job is to be a professional web developer. honestly, i’ve only just started, but you’ve already helped me more than anything else, and i am truly, truly grateful for that!!
Peace.
Thanks so much and happy I found you. I am on my own journey to becoming a full-stack engineer, I find it so easy to follow your explanations.
But other times, I know my background in building things for muggles to use makes me an asset unlike many developers.
first of all, great video!!
i just passed the imposter syndrome phase and i'm gaining some confidence in work
i hope to become like you one day
your story is an inspiration for me :)
Very inspirational video!! They always put career paths as something easy to choose and something that you have to know since childhood, but it is actually really hard. Here, somebody who is changing to programming career from marketing and from economics.
Hi I am new to web dev, I am from India. I have tried to get into a med school for 4 years straight and still couldn't. All my friends are either graduated or graduating in a year or two. So I've decided to learn web devlopment to get a job and also do my studies in some other field. Your video on basics of web development helped me loads and I feel so confident after hearing your story. I am also teaching myself. I hope I am able to do well atleast in this. Great video btw loved it. Loads of love! Keep Growing :-)
Very inspiring. Learning to code for me is a marathon. Been at it a few months. But it's very hard. Thank you for sharing your story
My friend talks about you all the time and I am so glad I have finally come to your channel
4:30 I feel this and I'm still in boot camp. You have inspired me to not give up on myself.
This whole channel is perfect, but this video in particular si a freaking masterpiece.
Thanks a lot for sharing , I just finish a college degree that I don't see myself using in the future either.
Your story is inspiring and it motivates me to follow this path for which I have been curious for years now
Thanks a lot, blessings.
The stories, the animation, everything is perfect. Wow!
That is really cool on your coding history background, but I love the animation! That kept me interested throughout the video.
I am 29 years old and I followed the wrong degree in university. This video was truly inspiring. I have support from two of my friends in the software field, and in 7 months, I will come back here and reply to this comment saying that I am a software developer.
This is so cool. A degree is just a stamp, you need nothing but willingness to learn the craft of your interest. The rest of the pieces will all fit together along the way. I am actually so proud and happy for you.
I stilll can't belive how amazing the animations are. this video feels like a favorite movie now!
