as much as censorship is a pain, I'm so invested in the heart of these stories that I would take a super censored bromance version than nothing at all. I think The Untamed tackled this PERFECTLY - Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo acted their butts out of their characters and it couldn't have been a better portrayal with the limits they had, in my opinion. So, it's possible. But if even CQL is considered too much these days... I don't need the actors to make out if they convey the love through their acting. I can see them being able to bromance TGCF (you just gotta really focus on the god/believer aspect instead - the OG material is already full of innuendo so they can just up the innuendo, LOL) but idk how you can bromance 2HA. I suppose you could say the same, that they just need to focus more on the shizun/student relationship, but wanran is too horny for that 😭 and the leaked clips are far too intimate IMO to pass censorship the way censorship has been censorshipping as of late. honestly i don't understand why they dont just release these shows on western streaming sites instead of chinese ones, and when situation gets better upload to chinese sites as well.. they could get somewhat paid, instead these gems are just collecting dust.. the issue is censorship so this way that would be fine?.. or am i missing something
Ha! I know what’s happening. In China, we are kinda not allowing danmei （耽美 and 耽改）anymore. Unless they edit it into you know, like pure friendship then it’s allowed to be shown. Actually most fans in China don’t want it to come out because the 2 actors don’t fit the roles very good. (张凌赫 and 翟潇闻) and second, we don’t like the clothing. Most people said it looks cheap. The pictures from ZLH as San Lang is just definitely not what I would want it to be (only just my opinion) and the Donghua is there and it shows what most fans want. So yeah I don’t know if it’s gonna show, it was supposed to be shown 2 years ago I think

As someone who has been waiting for Immortality to come out for years I hope that this will be the year that all the BL's that China has been sleeping on will come out but I fear that it will take a while. The one I am waiting for the most though of all BL adaptations is Justice in the dark because we got 8 episodes that aired but then they had to postpone/cancel it. So fingers crossed that we will be blessed with a lot of good BL adaptations this year and that they will at least be well adapted and not fully changed.
