I once showed a friend the “Jin Lings Uncle” video. Later we were watching TikTok’s on my phone and I got TGCF one and I was like “you don’t know them,” and she went “no, those are the uncles.”
Before this happened, (when I had just started watching the TGCF danhua) me and that same friend were at a school thing and she looked ahead at a classmate so we could watch the anime. And I gasped. It was the danhua!! And for a bit, my friend knew that show as “the one you and [classmate] watch.”

The giant mecha battle is so glorious I had to write an Amazon review of the novel just to talk about how glorious it is. A giant mecha made out of Heaven itself, fighting a kiss-fueled Statue of Liberty-sized statue of the protagonist, who is also armed with several giant skeleton-fish. How can you top that?
I know we'll probably never see the live-action version, but I honestly question if they had the budget to bring that insanity to life. Probably not.
Through most of it, my thoughts were a joyous "WHAT IS HAPPeniiinnng???"
