    Totorotei has been such a wonderful restaurant for you two, Shinichi and Satoshi! The food has clearly been spectacular, watching your videos. I know you will miss having this lovely restaurant in your neighborhood. At least you can say "See you later" as the restaurant closes, instead of "Goodbye." It's good to know you can visit the new restaurant when it opens. Thanks for the video, and I send good wishes to you both.

    A great restaurant with inventive, honest cuisine. The couple uniquely and in European fashion shut down for a month each summer to go off on culinary adventures. But OMG Katsushika-ku is on the opposite end of town, an hour away by train! I'm sure they gave a lot of thought to their choice of location, though the message suggests they plan to buy property, a serious commitment. I'm sure they'll acquire new clientele who will become loyal followers. Best of luck, and bon appétit!

    Best of luck to the owners of Totoratei on their new venture! I know their food and their company have brought you both many hours of pleasure. I'm glad to hear you'll dine with them again when their new restaurant opens, and make a video showing us the new digs. I can't wait to see them! ❤️❤️

    The Title of this scared the shit outta me! I thought it meant Satoshi and you would no longer be doing cooking videos from home, which would be a tragedy because I have made several of the dishes. I have even found a grocery store here in Toronto owned by a Japanese couple who import things directly from Japan; so have been able to get genuine Japanese flavour from the meals. So glad I was wrong. BTW, thank you both so much for such consistently great and worthwhile content. The most valuable thing any human has is time. We get a finite amount, and there's no extensions. \Any time I have invested watching you both has been time very well invested indeed.

    @ SHINICHI--...I've noticed in your latest videos the whites of your eyes have been getting more and more bloodshot looking and sometimes appear with a tinge of yellow hue...it could be nothing but if it doesn't clear soon or you notice it getting worse/changing in some way please get your blood counts (a test called a CBC) and have your liver checked (a test called a CMP) both of these are very simple blood tests and can be done with one simple stick. Any regular doctor can run these for you. Sometimes, when this happens it can be signs of approaching health issues. Your eyes are one of the first indicators of something being off in the body's system. This is just an observation and nothing definitive but I would suggest a check up it's also nothing to necessarily be alarmed about. It could be low or high blood counts, slightly unusual liver activity, blood pressure, or something to do with your eyesight/eye pressure or half a dozen other things but any eye changes in the sclera (the white part of the eyes) should be paid attention to. It might be completely minor but your eyes have been noticeably different (yes, I have an extreme eye for detail) and your's used to look the same in brightness as Satoshi's. I love watching you both for a bunch of reasons, my interest in Japan, amazing food, listening to Satoshi talk (He should do audiobooks I love the characteristics of his voice) but most of all I just flat out enjoy the channel and content. Don't let this comment scare you, it's merely an observation and maybe a head's up. Take care the both of you :)

  • @charlesmak36

    Yes. As an Arab l will confirm that Taameya is the original falafel. It’s the grand daddy of them all that all other Arab and Jewish cultures copied. If you want falafel in Egypt you ask for a Taameya.

    • @charlesmak36
      @charlesmak36 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Taameya is more flavourful, since it’s usually flash fried. Falafels are usually heavily deep fried so the flavours don’t pop as much due to the heavy deep fry taste…. but, more Sakuto!

There was this sushi place with a convayer belt (Everyone wanted me to work there with them---but i never got the job i guess in a sence it was thank goodness) but i was sad when they went under cause that was the place where we all hung out. On thursday's they'd have Kerokey, (of course this was before the pandemic. There was one other place in town it happened, but this place was better, and everyone was super sweet and friendly, it was my asian cheers, and it went under, sadly it never returned. I think the owner came back and made something else but we never knew what it was.
    There's two new noodle places where we can get noodles, but Umi had popping bobas.
