I love Ringo for all those scenes when he’s being calm and serious and he says something with total honesty. I think it gives him a certain charm that he’s not just this “big disabled idiot with a good heart” character, but also has the kind of quick resourcefulness and quiet wisdom that comes from not being accepted at birth.
I love the positivity/wisdom. Optimism is often portrayed as naivete, and they do the opposite here. When he talks about disabilities with eijo, and he asks about his eyes, eijo says a fire caused it, and he answers 'and now fire listens to you' one of the coolest lines in the show.
My favorite part about Ringo is that despite being soft-spoken and a little too naive for his own good, he also knows to admit his own flaws and mistakes and constantly wants to improve. Comes from his unhealthy relationship with his father but still.
2:24 is one of my favorite Ringo moments. He recognizes Mizu’s batshit crazy and tends to have little to no planning in her endeavors. Despite her name being water, Mizu is pretty bullheaded and moves in a straight line, with the closest thing she has to a plan being “Kill anyone in my way.” But he also recognizes she gets results (more or less). Sometimes, to stop something crazy, you gotta do something crazy.

did you watch the show? hes more than just the sidekick, he had many moments to shine. but i agree they could’ve done a bit more with him , lots of potential, im hoping to see more of him next season

I was worried about his inclusion at first but then he proved not only funny but also very useful.
Man, Ringo is very loveable and useful even if he has no hands. Its what makes him very special.
