hey there congrats on your first video, it is great 🙂 Alocasias lover and collector here from Berlin Its really nice to find a youtuber i can relate to :-)
Lovely collection! I can't believe how cheap plants are in Germany. Spider mites are really easy to deal with though - I just wipe down the leaves with isopropyl alcohol
Thank you so much! And yes! They’re so cheap! I don’t think I would be able to afford my hobby in the States 😅 Thanks for the tip 💗 I’ll be trying that out today
Alocasias are water loving plants. So, I would never recommend to stop watering them. If they’re losing all their leaves it’s important to figure out the reason why. It could be because they have root rot, from overwatering, under watering, too much sunlight, or too little sunlight.
New subscriber! Also feom germany :) i live 30 min from velno and buy most of my plants in the netherland. I found it very useful ypu actually say the prices :)
Love your alocasia collection and I will be getting some variants that I don't currently have bc of this video; however those spots on your silver dragon indicate a fungal infection (not variegation) and the misshapen leaves indicate a pest problem. Hope this helps in improving care!!
thank you so much for pointing this out! I actually realized this a couple of days after I posted the video. I had no idea for a solid year! The plant has since completely died 😅

Thank you so much! Alocasias really are the best 😍 Which is your favourite type?
I am obsessed with your collection !😍
The Alocasia Frydek variegate was my favourite one 😍
I love her too 💗
Love Alocasia so much. They’re becoming my favourite genus.
They’re the best 💗
You need to treat all your plants for spider mites and aphids otherwise your entire collection will die
Like how you refer to them as “her”. Dope collection 🔥
Yeah haha I don’t even know why I do that 😂 Thank you so much!

Danke schön 🙏🏼 ❤️
When you lose all the leaves on your Alocasia…do you stop watering until you see new growth or do you continue to water

I struggle so much with Alocasias😅
I also used to 😅 and honestly I still do sometimes 😅
18:18 when a plant person says Algae as mold 🤣🙈
It is mold! You can see the white fuzz on top of the pon if you would look closely :)) I am not talking about the green algae
@@lilli_lorenzthen u should replace the pon as molds can be detrimental to ur health 😱
