    Really awesome review! One thing I find so dope, even in a tech review video, is how rich yet natural your subjects' skin tones turn out. Can you do an updated video on nailing the perfect skintone (especially brown hues) or even you journey as a creator on nailing exposure? Really appreciate your work 👌🏾

      I realize this comment comes a year or so later but in terms of color grading what you want is to always have your subject (regardless of skin tone and overall temperature of the video) to have a slightly reddish/orange skintone because all skins have the same hue (what really changes is the brightness/darkness). Hope this helps.

    Being that I am a skinny guy, I recently sold my Ronin S and my Crane 3 came in yesterday. So far I can handle this much better. I shot a music video with the Ronin S and by the end of the shoot my wrists were killing me from going low to high and back when the move was required. I am shooting with a Canon EOS R with the Tamron 24-70 G2. I also ordered the focus and zoom controllers. The system works so much better for me than the Ronin. I also appreciate being able to see my camera settings on the handles’ lcd.

    Man I’m loving this gimbal. I used it to shoot a behind the scenes of a recording session but it turned out to look more like a music video lol. But anyway... I used it with the A7III and sigma 24mm 1.4 like you did but I shot in manual focus mode with the focus servo motor. I absolutely loved it and it was my first time shooting manual focus like that for an entire project. Hands down best gimbal I’ve ever used and I sold my ronin s and don’t regret it. I also dialed in the motor settings like you did and I also hate the way you can’t see the settings you made previously for each preset you make. I’m also wondering how to delete old presets because mine is getting crowded from all the testing I’ve done. But at any rate please try the gimbal with the focus or zoom servo I think you’ll love shooting manual focus with it.

    nice review...thanks. i have the wee-bill lab and like it for its smaller form factor. i hear you about the monitor. I find it useful 1. because I can see more detail/focus, etc. 2. I use the Ninja V so recording to pro-res and monitor doubly justifies its use.

  • @theorncampbell4432
    @theorncampbell4432 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm a bit late with this, but def look into getting focus and zoom servos. WIth a low slung monitor and focus pulling, shit starts to get REAL dope/cinematic.
    I really like the look of your shots and grading. Makes me miss the East Coast. Baltimore!

    Yeah monitoring your screen always seems a big problem with gimbals... they always get in the way or you can't see your camera monitor when you turn, raise, or lower the gimbal.
    Could do with some sort of monitor glasses or head mount with a small monitor infront of your face , or something. A monitor not attached to the gimbal but still portable for you to view as you move.

    should've mounted the monitor on the side 1/4 20 hole , I think it would've been less intrusive that way but you're right using a monitor on a gimbal takes some getting used to even if its an awkward position
