Yo-Zuri Crystal Minnow for the win, best twitch bait I’ve used for inshore fish bar none. I find MirrorLures too heavy and bulky with a slower action. I’m sure they work because many people swear by them but the Crystal Minnow is my go to lure. It comes in floating and sinking models and 3 different lengths so you can match your local conditions. They are pricy at $12 and hooks aren’t great as mentioned but man it catches fish constantly. I work it with a medium speed retrieve with near constant quick rod snaps which causes it to dart off in random directions. This action triggers aggressive bites - Snook in particular go crazy for it.
Good review. One of my favorite lures is the Rapala Twitching Rap. It is a fantastic bait for tarpon and snook. I have caught reds and trout on it also but use it primarily for tarpon and snook. It has the same body shape as this Yo-Zuri but it is made of balsa wood and does not rattle. I personally think the reason the tarpon like it is cause it doesn't rattle. Our friends introduced us to this bait for fishing the everglades. Unfortunately they don't make this bait anymore so I am super stingy with it. LOL. I have been looking for a similar bait to replace it but have not found one that produces results like the twitching rap. Maybe this is it. If any one has any of the Rapalas you should try them out or contact me and if they are the right color I will buy them.
Firstly, I went upon a fishing trip to the Rio Chama for trout, small mouth bass, and Walleye. I ordered quite a few lures from Yo-Zuri, though, had mixed results. For example, I used Yo-Zuri twitch baits, jerk baits, floating, suspending, and so forth. Remind you, I was fishing in a stained river-- muddy color. I only caught one brown trout on the Yo-Zuri F1168-M92 L-Minnow Sinking Lure, Green Silver Orange. The rest of the Yo-zuri's, nothing at all. Is it me, the lures, or, the fish? HELP!!!
I love me some yozuri suspended twitch bait. I use the lipped ones that makes them run a I bit deeper and it also causes it to dive when you twitch. I use slow sinking only in deeper water and the suspension baits around rocks and docks and deeper grass edges.
Great review Wyatt! I'm been researching topwater lures recently and I'm just curious how the yo zuri hydropencil compares to a spook or the rapala skitterwalk. I've watched Luke's review on the previous two, but have heard great things about the hydropencil (especially with snook). Just curious what the differences are when fishing topwater or if it is just a preference thing.
I’m a Zara Spook guy. The super spook is big Snook magnet. Remove the middle hook - it just hangs up and makes unhooking fish too difficult. If the water has some chop switch to the chugging spook. Classic Walk-the-dog action with a loop knot. Work slowly ... tic tok tic tok tic tok BOOM. My personal best snook have come on this lure. I’ve had big tarpon blast it too.
@@johnmoore3504 I agree thoroughly. ANY lure I throw on the flats and bays of Texas with 3 trebles gets the middle one removed, topwaters or subsurface twitchbaits, including any MirrOlure that has 3 (7M, 51M, or 52M) and certainly the middle treble on a Super Spook Sr., and have seen no downside to doing so.
If your going to review a lure that your are going to suggest a hook replacement ,, either this lure or any other ,,, please give the suggested hook size replacement ,, why do a review and then leave us with another question ,, I expect better from Salt Strong :(
Lol. It was a 4 minute video review of a lure. They covered all the basics and even had some water footage. Gotta work on your attention span if this is too much. 😂

Salt Strong I really like that cap
Say , do you have a Video - catching fish 👀
I'm from Trinidad and Tobago how do I get that twitch bait, and that hat...

What hooks would you recommend for the yo zuri twich baits?
are they not too light to cast
@@tabutogBKKs always
Where I live the yo zuris are cheaper than the other one you showed

Are those 70 or 90 mm in your hand?
Good revire btw
Thanks. How about a review of the new Plano Edge storage boxes?
what pound line do you use with the yo-zuri

Just a bad day honestly. it usually takes more than 1 trip to see if a lure is good, not to mention you have a whole tackle box of them
Not just that but brown trout kinda small lures may be too big for what your fishing for ,the smallies should be able to eat them tho
And walleye

I threw the 1oz prism finish in the surf and was pulling in Atlantic sharp nose sharks on it
I have a couple of those yozuri twitchbaits already so what hooks would be a good replacement for the stock hooks?
I have mine.. And i tried it yesterday and this afternoon i have two strikes! And both were unhooked.. A barracuda at first then today queenfish..
Maybe in line hooks a good replacement.
Will these work for largemouth bass in freshwater?
Ye
What rod are you using?
How is this any different than a “Stickbait” like the Slidogs from halco? Just different terminology?
The action is slightly different on these lures to sit beneath the surface and twitch side to side with a low rattle
Christened mine today. Thanks for the tips once again!
Yozuri 3rd is the best. Caught mackeral, grouper, snook so far with it
Curious if these would work on walleye and smallmouth?
They should!
Great job bruh👊🏼
A lot of people think fish can't see these clearer plastics Yo Zuri lures in low viz water, they're very wrong. This morning it was 27 Stripers in
Thanks for the feedback and info!
What size are those Yo-Zuri lures that you held in your hands?
5 1/4 inches I think
Great video🎣
Would you replace the hooks with in-line hooks or leave the trebles?
If you'll be releasing most of the fish you catch, then absolutely use the single in-line hooks in place of the trebles.
Cool video

John Moore thanks for taking time to reply. I appreciate the advice John! Hope you have a great weekend!

Review the shadow rap
Thanks for the suggestion and for watching!
your mic is not supposed to be pointed at you, yetis are side address. i could hardly hear the mirror lure
I didn't see anything that would make me want to not buy two Mirrolures instead of 1 Yo-Zuri. I would give Mirrolure the win in everything mentioned.
I’ve been absolutely slamming fish on the shrimp crystal color. Lady fish killer! 4 20” one day
You can work those lures best with a baitcaster .
Sure can!

Isca muito top 👏👏🎣🎣🎣
Já deixo você manda uma pra mim no Brasil ❤️🥺🥳❤️❤️
When my buddy and I fish together, he's always throwing Mr 17-18s. I'm throwing the yozuri and inevitably end up outfishing him 3-1
Nice!
Line bite. I lost a real 20 of those things on the shoreline. I'll never buy one again.
Sorry to hear that!
The problem is not the lure.

Match it to the (physical) size of the trebles.
9 dollars in US, 15 dollars in EU. And europeans still wonder why people say "God bless America" haha
Talking too much
What can we improve on?
