      Can i ask you someting? Now i'm trying to operate a CH4 reformer simulation with non-premixed combustion model. Is there any way that i set more than one pdf-mixture in a single non-premixed case? Thank you for reading my question :-)

      Yes ....inside the pdf table creation tab ....under (chemistry-stream options) click on secondary stream and additional column will appear ...and you can fill new fuel stream.

    Great video! I was wondering if you could show how to run a CFD on a combustion swirler for swirl number and emissions analysis using methane. I don’t exactly know the boundary conditions and fuel and air ratios I need to complete the simulation correctly. Also, how to adjust the vane angle of your geometry to reflect the desired swirl number. Thanks again for the tutorials!

      Have you done this project? Actually I'm working on the same project and searching for the same values you were searching for, can you address me to a reference please?
      Thanks a lot

    salam dr. what if the fuel does not exist in the ansys thermodynamic database? do you know how to create the database for new fuel?

    • @khaledAlattab
      @khaledAlattab  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the database (materials section) you can choose any fuel and change the fuel name and chemical formula and all other physical properties and save as new fuel

    But How to identify that it is of 120KW

      Usually high pressure combustors such as in gas turbines has high efficiency above 90%... so you can multiply the fuel input flow rate by the fuel low heating value by the efficiency and you get the combustor output thermal power... Otherwise you should get the average exhaust temperature from (XY plot) at the exit so the combustor power will be P=m.CP. (T-(Tamb)) ... where m the the total mass flow rate of air and fuel, or use enthalpy.

      Thank you very much sir....
      Actually i want to analyse a fire source of different heat release rate(3kw, 3.5kw,and 4kw) in Fluent, it is simulation of Tunnel fire, Finally want to calculate ventilation velocity to force the smoke away from tunnel. which model and what kind of boundary conditions should i use for Heat Source..........is there any provision for defining heat release rate in KW to Fire source in boundary condition section initially.

      Ok ...You need the data on the furnace exit ...so you can go to the (Plots) and choose (XY plots) then specify the exit plane is on which axes (X, Y, Z) and put value=1. ...you can first go to temperature and take average temperature from the plots, then go to properties and take average heat capacity for the exhaust materials ....then you can calculate the power
