@@Roddy-g2d I'd say the rest of the song DOES sound clearer, plus the one weapon effect change, but the chorus instead of sounding like originals old timey barber shop quartet, now it sounds like a machine voice like an ai Vocaloid and you can barely hear the "backups". Clearly every one else is hearing an improvement, but I played original next to remaster to figure it out it and still sounds worse. I'm more worried that 13 seconds in I go, "ouch that's bad" but literally everyone else is "this is so much better, well done". XD Sorry to drop this here, am glad everyone likes it.
@@JamesEDonaldson I agree with you, this song overall is much better, its just odd decisions like that where I genuinely thought my speakers were messed up, lol
I love the irony: Fallout 76 wasn't really like this song at all, but it's almost exactly on point for the TV show, so it's actually Bethesda that ultimately came around to Stupe's point of view.
I mean it kinda matches how 76 was at launch, huge promises and expectations, then the previews and leaks made people temper expectations, a few promotioal things pissed off and then it was a manic buggy mess on launch. To their credit 76 is a way better game now. I haven't seen the show so you might be totally correct on how things match up with it, this is just my two caps.
@@nomnomgoblin8901 Yeah 76 is unironically pretty good now? And tbh the lore was always great, it was just the executives stuck their dick in with things like "no NPC's" and other shit that made the game itself crap
Are you kidding? From the get go players decided it was their freaking job to ruin other player's fun. I had to stop playing until they removed slap damage. Couldn't go to the bathroom. Without coming back to someone who killed you 1 hit at a time
@@KevinG3699 See, I had the opposite experience. Higher level players giving me free shit and helping me in 'speed leveling' my first character. Only PvP I've experienced since I started playing in 2019 was in the Nuclear Winter battle royale mode that they had for awhile.
Playerbase according to expectation: Well equipped raiders and troublemakers. Actual playerbase: Supplying noobies with stims, food and guns till they are overencumbered. Defenatly glad to freshened this one up as well.
I love the idea that the experiment of 76 was to see if we would tear eachother apart or not and we ended up not only not killing eachother, but actually working together to make sure our fellow vault dwellers especially the late emergers are good to go out in Appalachia!
Most of this song lives rent free in my head, especially the ‘pipboys and torches, blood in the porches, squash clubs and potlucks and nuclear launches’

I like how this version is a little bit clearer in the vocal parts compared to the original version. It definitely feels like I can understand what the lyrics are saying and the references they include.
I would go crazy in a vault, every room and hallway looks the same. I've been wandering around vault 34 for 3 hours now trying to find the All American and I'm losing it...
The rhyme schemes on this are absolutely insane. Just look at this! 1:09 They just casually throw in a deep line like "'Cause you gotta build a heaven using death as the bricks" in a four syllable scheme. Like damn, a lot of mainstream rappers can't even maintain a four syllable scheme for two lines, much less a whole chorus.
Ah, finally, a remastered soundtrack for our post-apocalyptic party plans! 'Dust off those chips and selection of dips' still hits home like a radroach in the kitchen. And who would've thought 'rehydrating ancient celery sticks' would become a survival staple? But if we're going to reconstruct America, might as well do it with flair and a catchy beat. Now, excuse me while I fine-tune my mutant-slaying dance moves to this remastered bop!

As someone who was listening to the old one just recently this sounds heavenly in comparison thanks for the remaster of it especially with all of the fallout things going on at the moment
We are going back to the enclave with this one!! Amazing as always stupes, and just like the old one, the layered voices in the chorus are so good, and the mix of dark humor and commentary that fallout has is hit square on the nails head
Through the remasters it has become apparent how much better you've gotten at pronouncing all words clearly and distinctly when rapping fast. I didn't even need the lyrics this time.
Remasters are not new recordings, they are the same recordings re-mastered. That means new mixing and mastering, all the stuff that happens after the recording! If I recorded new vocals it would be a remake not a remaster! :P
@@TheStupendium I think it's interesting that just by remastering it, you may have made the lyrics SEEM clearer. Maybe it's just because the above person has heard it before, I don't know, food for thought.
@@TheStupendium i.... never knew that, thanks for telling me, i learn more english words and their meanings from you and your songs as i do from my teacher (its a foreign language for me)
YOOOOOO A REMASTER OF THIS ONE! I've always been a big fan of this one, it's got such an interesting flow with a bunch of clever wordplay, and I love how it devolves from the optimism and ideallistic view at the beginning to a more grounded and opportunistic wasteland survivor view near the end, it feels like there's a proper story being told over the course of the song! also I've always loved "Country road, take me home, to a place that won't irradiate my bones" it's such a fun twist on the original song
As someone from west virginia, fallout 76 was one of the coolest things ever. To see where I've grown up, where my family goes to work, and some of the culture in my favorite series was one of the most awesome experiences.
The original Vault Number 76 was a song that I definitely grew on as time went on. It was always just such a fun, dark ditty that I enjoyed even though I know nothing about Fallout. Now that this remaster is out, I just gotta say, all my issues with the mastering in the original are gone and I LOVE this rematser. Master class work as always Stupes!
A small detail that I saw, is that on 2:34 when choir sings word murdering, one of members looks at the other one. And then later in the song, 4:01 we see that he's the only one left of the choir.
I made sure to listen to the original first, since it's been a few years. And i love how you improved the harmonies, both of the barbershop quartet and in the rest of the song, along with the improved mixing in general! I don't know enough about music to fully pick apart each change, but it is definitely an improvement, thanks for breathing some new life into this one
The revamps with the instruments in the background makes it so much clearer, and the deeper voice so much better! It really feels like something from fallout! Another great remaster, looking forward to your next one! Keep the great work up
I'm not going to be able to listen to this for a few hours, but I just came here to say this was my first or second song that I've ever heard of yours and I screamed when I saw the notification for this. I'm sure it's great, I'll be sure to add another comment once I've heard it. Can't wait!😁😁😁
Okay, that was too long of a wait for me to react to this. Wow, the barbershop trio is LOCKED IN!!! The biggest difference I hear is that not only is the audio quality better, but also the high part isn't peaking out amongst them. That's a true sign of good musicianship when you can tone down one aspect of an ensemble to benefit everyone. I would say it definitely worked in this video's case. I can't tell if I'm just too used to the original, but if you'd like to explain, what were the differences between the verses? It could just be better quality, and I'm not picking up on it. Besides my confusion there, this is a certified classic that benefitted from another fantastic remaster! Thanks for providing your entertainment as always, Stupes!
One of my favorite songs for one of my favorite games, from my favorite artist, in the year a new favorite show came out. I'm happy. I listened to the original so many times I can see how much work you put into the remaster and this just made it even more epic.
My favourite bit of news about '76 was when Bethesda put in some pay-to-win superior gear and the playerbase used that equipment to identify who it was okay to bully.
How funny. I was just listening to the old song yesterday while playing fallout 76 lmao. I have no idea how the game was at launch, but now it's probably one of my favorite MMO-Type Games. Thanks for blessing us with this remaster! (And good on you for using the new huge interest in fallout lmao)
This is so perfection Stupes! I enjoyed seeing this song getting remastered! One of your perfection songs that I admire. It always makes my day seeing you post these and gets me so excited, you are #1 Stupes, stay perfection! :3
Today I noticed that "cross words are through now!" wasn't just a transition from mentioning "crosswords." Mostly because I thought it was weird that the words were spaced in the lyrics. As in, people aren't exchanging cross words, they're eagerly resorting to violence when they have a dispute. Perhaps it was obvious, but I always love finding more cleverness in Stupendium's lyrics. I would think I was over-analyzing many of them if they weren't so *consistently* rich with meaning!
If I pointed out everything I thought was clever in a Stupendium song it would come across as a book report. The reverb (if that is the correct term) in the vault strengthens the emphasis on that cavernous, empty, deeply artificial environment.
Both Fallout songs were remastered in the last 7 months, definitely going all out with the Fallout franchise I see. Hope to see a song related to the show someday but great work as always, shows why you got to a million subscribers.
Ya know, while several of your songs have inspired me to play the games they're based on (Dredge and Death and Taxes being the examples that come to mind), this is also maybe the third time I start playing or reinstall a game then immediately see a notification for a song on it.... Damnit, someone go check on the Matrix, they're sleeping on the job again. (Also, lovely to see another clean-up on a classic earworm from my playlist, grand work as always Stupes.)
Just wanna say this is one of my top favorite Stupendium songs. It’s such a banger song with a freaking gorgeous video to go with it. The amount of effort they put in is unfathomable, and I can’t imagine how they manage to do it. I’m glad they started monetizing their music, they truly deserve to get something out of all the work they do other than just patreon. I applaud the adequate wordsmith!
I had mixed feelings about the "House Always Wins" remaster; there is something to be said about how the original low fidelity audio synergizes with Fallout's "retro-futurism" motif. This, on the other hand, is a STRICT upgrade to one of my favorites songs you've made! The audio is hugely improved, and it's very noticeable in the barbershop harmonies. I like this a lot, and I think I'm about to go spend a lot of time listening to your other songs, since I've just been casually reminded of them
I’ll be honest- I liked the old one because of the more old-timey feel, but this one is equally amazing! I’m happy to have both versions of the song to listen to!
Ooh that sounds nice and crisp! This is one of my favorite frequent earworms from your catlogue, so I’m absolutely loving the update! The ye olde barbershop sound is such a cool style with all of the beautiful harmonies. I’m a sucker for a good harmony! I fell in love with Bioshock Infinite from the moment I heard, “But long as there are stars above you”…instant frisson
My favorite part of these videos is little things in the lyrics that I don't catch during my first or second or third or fourth or thirty-eighth listen. It's almost like Shakespeare or classic literature, there's always something deeper and super cool, I've missed.
I don't want to se the world on fire But your house will do just fine My FAVORITE verse! And this song is pure FIRE stupes! THANKS! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
76 has had a smaller, but steady playerbase. It is really cool that the show brought so many new players in. It is like launch day all over again! I try my best to help new players out with weapons and chems for healing at the donation boxes around the map
As many others have said AMAZING remaster! I especially love the inclusion of the "old timey" song lyrics. :D Also... am I tripping, or was that a reference to Lethal Company at the end there? Edit: Was that a sneaky teaser for your next song?! Nice ;)
Aaaaa thid was amazing!!!! This is onr of my favourite of allll of your songs and im soooo glad you did a remaster ALSO i think itd he totally awesome if you tried making a somg on Helldivers 2 or smth??? I feel like it could fit your vibe
This was great! You did it again, Stupes! Also, godDAMN was 2:06 - 2:45 just the BEST lines I've ever heard. You did NOT have to drop those bars so hard. Edit: Also, the remaster made those barbershop chords just PERFECT. That type of barbershop should be more common.
The fact 76 has come back from the grave is really something else, and honestly? It's incredible in my opinion! I enjoyed this game for a time at the start, but eventually after all my friends quit out of the game, I stopped playing. But, with the recent reception of "Fallout" the TV show being so incredible, I redownloaded 76, and was hit with the "Yeah, YEAH. This is good." again. Not to mention, this song is unreasonably catchy!
Great job, as always! Just wanna point out, I recently said hello and that I was watching 'adequate wordsmith' on tiktok, and u said hello, which always puts a smile on my face. Anyway, great remaster, great song, amazing budget, and brilliant channel. "Cya', mate!"
Even though I barely remember the visuals from the original music video, I somehow see the improved visuals either way! Haha! 😂 Great remaster btw! I think it's genius that you're doing a good chunk of these to keep your original songs up to date and prepare for your next big ones, ya know? 💙
It seems any song Stupendium makes is super catchy! And his vocal range is incredible, all the different voices he can do XD Keep up the amazing work dude!
an absolute delight to see today! vault 76 was one of my top 5 favorite songs of yours and seeing a remaster of it made me so happy! although i'm not the biggest fan of how some parts sound (particurally the starting chorus part, it sounds very oddly autotuned for some reason) i'm still glad this song got a second chance, i'm really hope that it really picks up some popularity after that fallout show everyone was talking about!
I'll be honest, i thought the original was one of your weaker songs, but this remaster might just be one of my favorites! Crazy what a difference a do-over can do, and a great show of how far you've come 😁
I got this game because of this song. Now 5 years later, I still play that game and I made some friends who I now talk to daily because of 76. All I can really say is thank you for making this song. It's a really wonderful masterpiece.
Honestly, I don't know WHAT it was about the specific composition of this song - nor the original version of this - but golly was this remaster was one to take the attention from my ears. It was always a blast doing unnecessary hand gestures and jazz hands to the chorus! And to the last end of the song, didn't really expect you to ever cover such a silly mainstream game - but I can certainly see the potential! I'm excited to see what you create next, because LC certainly suits your channel's vibe
It's kind of crazy how much better this sounds even though the changes are so minor, like especially here 1:29 I don't think I could describe the difference and yet it's so noticeable lmao
Oh my GOD! This is one of my favorite old songs of yours, but the mixing has always been a problem for me. I'M SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS! Originally, I thought Carol of the Tails would be getting a remaster, but this has to be the best outcome. The new effects are so good and AGHGHHH I'm just so happy! Great job, stupes!! 🧡
“I don’t want to set the world on fire, but your house will do just fine.” Was probably one of my favorite lyrics besides the whole last verse. Once again, absolutely genius writing.
Welp. This and “What a Joy” were on literal repeat while I was working landscaping a few years ago. They have been stuck in my head ever since. Actually what got me into Fallout 4 again!
God when you sang,”is America buried? Did it ever exist?” It gave me chills. That line it so hard for no reason and so did the entire song! I’m so glad you remastered this
@@neogrimm I can’t stop gushing about that line it’s so good! Questioning if America even exists was a great way to show how much the bombs effected the place!
@@Luna_who Yup, kinda has a double meaning. It both shows how history has been rewritten to make the very existence of America questionable, but it also goes a bit deeper and questions if America ever fulfilled the ideals it was founded on.
@@neogrimm that’s deep especially since it’s only a single line of the entire song! Oh there’s also,” rest assured every resident was carefully picked to be remembered as members of 76” the fact that they added remembered instead of just saying,”to be members of 76”
I can't believe it, this being remastered. Undoubtably one of the best so far, though it seems like that for all the remasters you've done. I can't describe enough how much I love this, the harmonies are more, like, smooth, proper, and intelligable, if that makes any sense? With the music being just oo. Not to disrespect the original. In fact, this is the song that got me into you. I can't believe 5 years have passed already, I remember that morning clearly, how I had this on loop for literal days, and soon after revisited your catalogue and finally getting those to click. Can't describe enough how grateful I am that you've still decided to put out some of the best music I've ever heard, for so long, on a consistent basis. Your music sometimes has had a lot of meaning and impact to me and my life, cheering and helping me get through the hardest parts of my life, so I can't thank you enough. Seriously.

We’re you hoping for a life of heavenly bliss?
When you stepped out of Vault number 76
Feels like we've waited forever for this
Dust off those chips and selection of dips
Rehydrate those ancient celery sticks
‘Cause we're gonna have a party down in 76
VERSE 1:
Today's a day for celebration
We've been locked away but we've been making preparations
Sweep away decay and all the waves of devastation
Now we're at the dawning of the day of reclamation
Preservation of the nation
Is a fate that we’ve waited every day in dedication
To build a haven - pave the way for generations
Of what's left of Vault-Tec participation
Deep beneath the wastes of Virginia’s A place
where we could have stayed safe for millennia
But tensions get frayed after just a few decades
So we're certain that the surface oughta be a little friendlier
Shine your shoes because the hour is at hand for
Joining hand in hand with fellow man to save the land, so
I packed some dandy apples in a satchel with some BlamCo
Stepped out of the gate to meet the neighbours and it's BLAMMO

Can the world ever be fixed?
Is America buried? Did it ever exist?
We’re you hoping for a life of heavenly bliss?
When you stepped out of Vault number 76
Are you lost in awe? Well you'd better be quick
Build a hovel from the rubble whilst the reverie sticks
'Cause you've gotta build a heaven using death as the bricks
If you want to have a life out of 76
VERSE 2:
I don't want to se the world on fire
But your house will do just fine
Got you thinking maybe now's a prudent time
Add some traps to send the rowdy mutants flying
Now I’m an optimist but was it a bad decision
To make a mission out of living in a vicious cataclysm?
Sitting in the wilderness and killing for provisions
A Vault may have it's faults but all the halls were air-conditioned
Every dweller went from level-headed fella to a villain
So forgive me if it's not what I envisioned
But with citizens selected out of brilliant civilians
I thought that some decorum whilst exploring was a given
Hi Joe! How you doing today?
I haven’t seen you since the vault barbeque last May!
Alright!
Awh, jeez.
Okay!
You can keep the carcass - I’ll be on my way!
BRIDGE:
So country road, take me home
To a place that won't irradiate my bones
Hear a silly little ditty with a playful tone
Transmitting from the middle of the danger zone
So country road, take me there
To a pretty little crater in the open air
It's a bright new future so don't be scared
Because everything glows with a bright green glare
CHORUS:
Can the world can ever be fixed?
Is America buried? Did it ever exist?
We’re you hoping for a life of heavenly bliss?
When you stepped out of Vault number 76
Is murdering suburbians getting your kicks?
Well we ask you to refrain ‘til population is fixed
Rest assured that every resident was carefully picked
To be remembered as a member of 76
VERSE 3:
Vault-Tec reminds you
Your purpose on the surface is to work to survive through
Adversity by working with the persons beside you
Nah, I never liked you - I'm gonna craft some ammo and fight you
There was a time when I'd smile and pretend that I liked all my friends
When society ends, tell me why the pretence?
Bring a violent end to that white picket fence
You missed my recital again!
Now there's no keeping up with the Joneses
I've broken their noses
I’ve stolen their clothes and fed them to the roaches
That ought to show him for mowing his lawn whilst I'm trying to focus
On my crosswords
Cross words are through now
Domestic disputes now descend into shootouts
Truth is Dianne - I hate your pecan pie
This is for bringing one round to my luau!
Everyone's had that fantasy to be the last of humanity
You might think that it's rad to see
What we'll grow from this rad disease
The mutations are past belief
Who'd have guessed these nuclear arms
Would give me literally nuclear arms?
I hear ground zero has some loot we can farm
So what is the harm? If we drop another couple of bombs?
Who'd have thought the horrors of war could be awesome?
When chalking them up against the boredom
Before things were torched and
We’re forced to reform from assortments of morons
A quarter century's quarrels laid dormant
Pip boys and torches - Blood in the porches
Squash clubs and potlucks and nuclear launches
Setting the Scorched on my mother-in-law is

@@JamesEDonaldson Well, it makes them feel more like backups, not a trio.
@@JamesEDonaldson And it's the whole song not just the chorus.
XD

And tbh the lore was always great, it was just the executives stuck their dick in with things like "no NPC's" and other shit that made the game itself crap

all the stuff that happens after the recording!

Also note the last man mentions "slaying all your neighbors".
I made sure to listen to the original first, since it's been a few years. And i love how you improved the harmonies, both of the barbershop quartet and in the rest of the song, along with the improved mixing in general!
It can't be better than the original versi- AND OH MY GAWD IT'S WAY BETTER!!!!!!!
Excellent as always, but honestly what impresses me most is the number of rhymes for "Seventy Six" you found.
I love how everyone was expecting 76 to be a rust-like raider simulator and the community was like "nah I want to run a shop and put on plays"
This song (the original version) was the first of yours I think I ever watched. It’s nice to see it get a remaster
Both Fallout songs were remastered in the last 7 months, definitely going all out with the Fallout franchise I see. Hope to see a song related to the show someday but great work as always, shows why you got to a million subscribers.
OMG! I've listend to this countless times since the original release, and I only just now noticed the crosswords / cross words double. That is GENIUS!

🎉 Easily one of my top three songs in Stupes catalog. Appreciate the update.

Ooh that sounds nice and crisp! This is one of my favorite frequent earworms from your catlogue, so I’m absolutely loving the update! Add another vote to how it's so ironic that the players in Vault 76 are some of the nicest community you'll ever meet in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
