- People in southern Pakistan face yet more devastation after record floods, blamed on climate change, submerged a third of the country, killing more than 1,100 people.
A surge of water is now flowing down the Indus river, threatening communities in southern Sindh province.
Local officials say 1.2 million people have been displaced in Dadu district in Sindh, where hundreds of villages are submerged, with mudslides and flood waters travelling down from the mountains towards villages in the area.

@English with learner thank god for some sensible response. Media in Pakistan and India have brainwashed their people so much and the illiterate class is being greatly influenced. I absolutely don't hate India. During the COVID crises, I prayed that the country comes back and fights this calamity. Whenever Pakistani and Indian individuals are constantly fighting on media, I really feel sad. The Governments play off and we common people get affected. May God help us all progress without agitation. During my visit to India, I also met different kinds of individuals. Some were so good and laughed with us like a jewellery shop owner and a taxi driver. Many other people too. However, some were rude and mean. For instance, one Uncle at an airport ( I was just 11) said some really mean things and I started to cry. Literally I had not said anything to him. However, as a grown up, I plan to build up my views on the behalf of those people who were nice to me.

I’m a British Pakistani and I’m already lost in words about this whole flooding thing. It isn’t really fair how Pakistan is a poor country and has lost LOTS OF LIVES. Their lives earning have been washed up by a torrential rain. 800000+ livestock have been washed up by River. Casualties in hundreds have been recorded. The dead-bodies of people drown by flood are been washed up and stuck into Barrage gates. Crime rates have increased and no such law and order is being maintained due to a rapid increase of 27% in unemployment rate. The development of sindh has been backward to off 50years. To BBC: there are number of NGO's like Alkhidmat, Markazi Jamiat, JDC, Edhi, Salani and many other that are providing tents, food, water, medical camps and shelters to the displaced families. Please also give coverage to them. Other then that, huge amounts of donations in all forms, are being collected from all over the country and are in the process of reaching them.

Get together with some friends or family. I am often content with something nice to eat and a good movie, but everyone is differant in their needs. Keep your spirits up in any way shape or form you see fit and don't let news drag you down, but rather don't watch them for a while till your depression is more managable. If it is really bad, talk to someone professional you feel comfortable with may it be psycologist or a pastor(if you are of strong faith).
