They've been described as the worst the country has ever seen, so what has caused them to be so bad? Sky's Saima Mohsin explains.

@@sherryp3452 I think the glaciers are real, but what he/she might mean is there are solutions for this issue.
If the government weren’t corrupted there would be money to have enough infrastructure to prevent or reduce the damage of the floods.
The ponds, lakes, swamps, green cover around the river banks, forests , which used to be as dampers and buffers are all gone and the water picks up speed which results in disasters;
Have to go back to old ways and bring back some sort of environmental stability.
The poor are suffering the most, as always!
Of course, gives them an incentive to work and not be poor.

I am thankful to know that the Taliban and Al Quaida can now repay the people of Pakistan for their support and direct assistance all these years. Just think, if just all the 21 year old Pakistani males named after Osama Bin-Laden were to bail one bucket of water - what a miracle to see, all those peace-loving souls.

Pakistan has suffered extreme ecological calamities for generations. The current political device to not let any catastrophe go without exploitation should not reduce the humanitarian outreach.

Wikipedia relates: In 2010, almost all of Pakistan was affected when massive flooding, caused by record breaking rains, hit Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. The number of individuals affected by the flooding exceeds the combined total of individuals affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the 2005 Kashmir earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake.[4] At least 2,000 people died in the flood and almost 20 million people were affected by it.

Countries should think twice before sending aid to Pakistan in form of money. Most of the money will land in hands of politicians, military generals and terrorists.
Although I am not expert on this I think Pakistan's rain season was too much and this flood could've devastated any developed country in the world
Strange people have predicted this weather up to 100 years ago. And even recently it was simulated that this weather will happen . It did not matter whether co2 increases or not. Climate cycles are not talked at all. As if some one had a agenda (WEF).

Reading from the comments, Pakistan can forget about getting any aid from the rest of the world, responsible for the rising temperatures, and disappearing glaciers.
Its 2005 all over again, when more people died in the earthquake in Kashmir, but aid went to the tsunami victims. Good for them.
so 0.0016 percent extra CO2 in the atmosphere has caused this? sounds far fetched to me. i think its more likely the result of the continueing LA NINA cycle than the carbon.

It is horrific. Unimaginable the land size of UK is underwater now and these are the poorest ppl, they don't even contribute 1% percent to carbon emissions of this country let alone the talk of carbon emissions of Pakistan which is less than 1% of the world, while the rich countries are unaffected so turning their backs to climate change. The conference held earlier this year has failed as we have seen after Ukraine crisis that world is desperate to get their hands on more oil and it's production has been increased. They are creating divisions based on money the rich is getting richer and poor is getting poorer it will ultimately affect everyone and will become a fight for the survival while billions would eventually die if this climate catastrophy is not addressed. Richer countries who contribute the most to these emmisions stop this fasade and get serious and end this climate apartheid. Pakistan is affected the most from climate change as it has a population of 200M ppl and it will affect the world eventually as alot of food is grown here, it has the largest number of glaciers outside polar regions they are also melting with global warming and it will cause further floods and eventually death and shortage of fresh water in the whole region where half of the world population lives and are fed by the Himalayas which is the main source of water in China, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and it's neighbours which is literally around 3 Billion population. Wake up world

Unfortunately, Pakistan has never had a thoughtful civilian government that could deal with their national issues and solutions.
