People judge because Tara has a habit of correcting people when they make grammatical mistakes. Most of the actors don’t even realise that are grammatically wrong while speaking. Tara is extremely good at speaking in English.
Being good in a second language isn't a crime and doesn't make you worse in your first language. Being multilingual is actually a talent and takes a lot of hardwork. If she actually commands multiple languages she's actually worth a lot of dollars. She can be hired as an elite translator.. and almost earn better than she's doing now. So guys, this particularity is actually making her valuable.
Btw Her Movie choices are totally something to judge ,she going for Producers and not by story is something to judge .She is really beautiful and can play bigger roles in films that actually has solid story.

I've seen stuff like this happen alot even to people around me. I had a friend who was very intelligent and pretty and people would always make up the dumbest and most disrespectful assumptions about her due to their jealousy. It made her sad. She was only ever sweet and helpful and whenever she tried to help, people would accuse her of being pretentious.

I don't find her English any better than any other English-speaking person in India. She simply drags a small statement into a full minute video, what could have easily summarized within 10 seconds. lots of fumbling and fillers in framing a sentence. Funny thing, she reminds of those clueless people in group discussions who drags the whole discussion into oblivion and keep on going and going until someone stops them. PS: Ratna Pathak Shah and SRK are among the few Indian celebrities who are good at framing sentences properly.
Her formative experiences with language are very different from the average person. Opera singing requires a great deal of correctness in pronunciation, etc. so it’s natural that she has carried that over into her everyday life.

@@rach101 my opinion is my opinion. I’m not being a hater and as a native speaker who’s born in uk and speaks English from day 1. I think she is fluent and more than decent. I haven’t said she’s perfect and an expert have I? Yeah she has an Indian accent but I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about her English. Understand what I’m talking about before responding. Also people can be nervous in interviews. She isn’t speaking like a valley girl. Her English grammar is good lol. I haven’t said it’s perfect and of course a native speaker will know English more than someone who isn’t it’s common sense. Grow up :)
I think people have more problem with her correcting other people's English, otherwise no one would know she is so particular about language. From the jokes I've seen her co-stars make, I feel like this is the problem people have with her. Almost everyone in India knows or speaks atleast some English, why would anyone call her snooty unless she was behaving in a certain way? I used to love her but all this blame game is getting annoying. If people call you snooty, it is because you're being snooty.

Yeah because all are used to the typical english being spoken by the nepokids and other nepostars. Look at Alia , Kareena, Janhvi and Ananya they all think that giving 1000 expressions while speaking english makes it look cool and fashionable. But it's such a big turnoff!!! I think if someone is in acting field they're supposed to act according to the characters of the movie and not according to what's their background how were they brought up their native language and i think totally disguising your personality and becoming another person is what acting is about.
acting is their job, they're not transforming their identity into their character, there's a boundary that they should be given the freedom to use.

@@annah9311i won't along with a majority ppl would never like a bitch or a man to correct my english while i am speaking to a person not even in chat. English is not my first language i learned it and ppl make mistakes in it. We don't speak correct hindi either. If you have a problem with my English keep it to yourself i do not want you to interrupt however if i tend to make a lot of mistakes correct me in private in a friendly manner that i should improve it.
