Recently picked up an 07 l320 as I always wanted one. Builders unfortunately smashed my ns glass but the best way to fit the new one is to tilt the motor all the way down as far as it will go. Hang the new mirror over the two pins at the top of the motor so it’s supporting itself then push the bottom clips into place until u hear them click by pressing low and central. Found this guide on a forum and after near an hour of trying everything else including instructions from this vid. that method worked in 30 secs. Hope this helps any old RR owners struggling like I was!
I have just replaced my mirror glass AFTER checking with the Freelander 2 workshop manual. It clearly shows that to remove the glass. you need to press the glass from the top and then prise it from the bottom, and not as shown above from the side. Fitting is the reverse. Did it in a minute.
Second vote for the push to full extent at the top of the mirror and then gently lever off with a screwdriver. Comes off nice and easily. Then the reverse to fit the new glass. Easy 10 min job.
Or how to access the micro switch? My mirror folds and then bounces back out. Do u remove the mirror glass and then remove the trox screws to get access to the innards without removing the entire mirror from the car?
This is NOT how to remove a mirror glass, it will break as mine did, there are 3 clips behind the bottom of the mirror that have to be released by a screw driver (similar tool)
Hi - we were assuming the mirror glass was broken so this was not really a problem. But let me take a look at if i can do a lessdestructive video for those who dont have a broken mirror glass
Please can you help me with the parts numbers for the lens? crd000xxx how do I find out the right model for my car, its left hand drive euro version so not UK or US version. My lens has no text etched and no convex bulge. It is the dim clear color one. Thanks

Try as I might, I couldn't stay awake listening to this bore wheeze his way through a 30 second job... Good lord.
Man writes in his sleep !
Hi, do you know how to unmount the front black cap? I scratched it and I'd like to change it. Thanks!

Are they convex mirrors or flat?

I can't get the little plugs out, it seems like they're sealed under the plastic 😑😢
